That's an insult to Tesco shelf stackers, most of whom are pleasant and competent individuals.
Marshall is a complete and utter tube with the intelligence of an amoeba.
I suppose he might get employment as a scarecrow!!

Welling v Torquay Sat 6th Apr 3pm
I was castigated some time ago for commenting that Marshall was a complete and utter numpty who should consider another career.
Today, I rest my case.

If bids have been received why will it take up to a fortnight to decide which one to accept?
Presumably the administrators will now make the decision.

Selling the club to Hayman together with any of her associates will be the death knell for Torquay United.
My understanding is that TUST might be able to call on Neil Warnock in some capacity. Whatever one's opinion of him, it is undeniable that he has invaluable knowledge of football.

Slightly off topic, but does Torquay United still employ Peter Johnson who is to recruitment what Michael McIntyre is to comedy?

A choice of Osborne v Smurthwaite is like being asked would you rather live under Hitler or Stalin.
Neither appear to have any redeeming qualities.

There might be no option, but if the clubs sticks with its current squad it'll have as much chance of avoiding relegation as the Titanic had of missing an iceberg!!

Tonbridge Angels v Torquay United, March 16 3pm
It's straightforward - not withstanding the points deduction - as to why this season has been dire.
Two clueless and tactically inept managers even allowing for the fact that Downes appears to be a nice guy.
A load of crocks e.g. Hall, Lapslie, Dawson and a plethora of individuals who are useless , even at this level - Marshall, McGavin and Tomlinson.
On a tangent, it's odd how many 'failures' at this club go onto enjoy blossoming careers elsewhere.

If Smurthwaite and Masters are the answer to the question, then Torquay United is deep in the s**t.

Isn't 'Man of the Match' an oxymoron for a display for which inept would be a massive understatement?

Aaron Downes may well be a thoroughly decent guy, but he was part of the useless Johnson regime and was responsible for a defence leakier than the UK borders!!

Technically speaking, limited company directors are employees albeit in this case presumably unpaid and not in receipt of dividends.

Slightly off topic, but I see that another club with a charlatan chairman, Accrington Stanley, has dismissed its manager John Coleman and assistant Jimmy Bell in a 42-word statement.
These two had given years of loyal service to the club, but the board sought fit to dismiss them in an undignified and perfunctory manner. Football club chairmen must be challenging estate agents, MPs and journalists in the race for the most despicable career path.
