Torquay United v FC Halifax Town Sat 20 Feb KO 17.20
It would be fantastic if our regular set oiece takers CLE Andrews Whitfield could actually put a decent ball in and beat the first man they have been extremely poor over the last few games and it's not acceptable for a full time club

Their first goal, where have we seen that before?knightmaregull wrote: ↑20 Feb 2021, 19:28 All well and good to pile in on MacDonald but come on, what protection was he getting from his defenders (strikers, midfielders?). Totally exposed at left back (cant really blame Andrews out of position) and without Nemane we are just so one dimensional.
BUT if we score first and defend from the front then Halifax don't have the opportunity to look good. They couldn't believe the open invite they got to take control of the game today.
Weymouth away wasn't it when he flapped at a cross and it was scored at the back post
The 2nd is just mess across the whole back line and I'm sorry but on initial reflection we should have a keeper who saves the 3rd

Woking v Torquay United
the mistake was letting the NLS & NLN start in the first place
It should have just been the National League where the vast majority of teams are full time and have direct implications for the EFL

Injury update?
That 11 alone would certainly be there or there abouts in the leagueNick Potkins wrote: ↑10 Feb 2021, 09:13 If my calculation is correct, we had 11 injured players out tonight. Make of it what you will, but we had the same problem last season! Is it the training, luck, the player age profile or what?

Randall - kept going all game trying to move the ball
Lewis - had the measure of them at RB battled well and won the ball back on numerous occasions
Waters - took the goal well and ran the channels when he could

apologies if this has been posted elsewhere but is our physio kai hepworth still with us?
he didn't appear to travel to Southport and i struggled to see if he was on the bench tonight, dont think any of our players needed treatment during the game

Given the way that game was going - like Dagenham at home where we could have played for 24hours straight and now scored i will certainly take a point!
Its frustrating how we let ourselves down with the basics, simple passing and set pieces are the biggest!

Shows why you put men on the posts at corners, Umerah had the keeper beaten with that header

think this game also shows that without Nemane we have no threat down the right, big miss so far
