Waters: for his perseverance as a thankless lone striker and putting away his chance with great finishing technique - a real match winner.
Buse: Work tirelessly for the team - put a real shift in over the 90mins - pleased for him.
Hall: Captain Marvel - commanded the midfield play - real workhorse
Randell: Whats not to like about this boy - just disappointed his contract is with Argyle rather than with us.
Macdonald. This choice will be controversial. Commanded his goal and keep Moors at bay for 94 minutes - then committed Kamikaze (but in my books took one for the team - made the sacrifice for the benefit of the team and the win - although I know many will disagree.)
certainly disagree RE McDonald
you say he commanded his goal, did he make a save? i dont recall anything of note. He first came to attention when he fumbled the ball which was given for a corner rightly or wrongly getting him booked for kicking the ball away
Ive seen the replay of the sending off, he is never in a month of sundays getting there especially against a 6ft 9" striker. The ball is in the air with a defender next to him the chances of the striker being able to control and shoot well were low.
unfortunately its not the first time, whether he gets bored/wants to be the hero/cant read the play im not sure but he charges out of his goal far too often, sometimes getting the ball but the risk is always there and it never looks like hes in control. For me hes not learnt from his mistakes.
