Woking v Torquay United Sat 27 Feb KO 3pm

SuperNickyWroe wrote: 27 Feb 2021, 22:08 F*cked off by this comment.
Whits has played every game and CLE nearly has.
TBH, they both should have been rested for this game.
Stating the obvious, but he's injured....
Agree with the opening line - a full - or even near starting XI wins that easily.

F*ck it - move on and concentrate on the League.
Up the Gulls.
Agree SNW,

The last couple of games LHE has had to play wide right - thats not his position at all

and without nemane we are so lopsided with Whits on the other, therefore ever "winger" play is coming down his side, its just not possible

Gary Johnson and his tactics & mind games

Hammdog2601 wrote: 28 Feb 2021, 00:53 Anyone else get frustrated by the lack of communication from the club and Gary himself regarding injuries and signings? We go into Hartlepool with no Idea about which players are close to returning, how serious players injury are. Cameron got injured a weir ago and we’ve heard nothing, no clarity. No one has any clue when Nemane is back. No one has any idea on what was wrong with Joe Lewis today. I know Gary likes his tactics but the fans and the club are so much further away as a whole than we’ve ever been. Very rare we get a video on YouTube with Gary previewing the match, or even after the match press conference. Come out and give fans an update on players. That’ll excite fans knowing players are close to returning. We know right is 2-3 weeks away. That’s all. What’s happened to Little & Nemane? Warren got injured and no one heard anything. He’s disappeared under a rock. Same with Cameron, he’s usually first to update fans on injuries and keep fans involved. Has Gary put a stop on this?

Gary please keep fans in the loop!
And our rivals?

One thing for the free kick takers to note

The only good ball in was the one at the death that we did put in the net

The rest were pants, week in week out, it needs sorting!

MOTM - Solihull Moors

MellowYellow wrote: 24 Feb 2021, 14:33 Waters: for his perseverance as a thankless lone striker and putting away his chance with great finishing technique - a real match winner.
Buse: Work tirelessly for the team - put a real shift in over the 90mins - pleased for him.
Hall: Captain Marvel - commanded the midfield play - real workhorse
Randell: Whats not to like about this boy - just disappointed his contract is with Argyle rather than with us.
Macdonald. This choice will be controversial. Commanded his goal and keep Moors at bay for 94 minutes - then committed Kamikaze (but in my books took one for the team - made the sacrifice for the benefit of the team and the win - although I know many will disagree.)
certainly disagree RE McDonald

you say he commanded his goal, did he make a save? i dont recall anything of note. He first came to attention when he fumbled the ball which was given for a corner rightly or wrongly getting him booked for kicking the ball away

Ive seen the replay of the sending off, he is never in a month of sundays getting there especially against a 6ft 9" striker. The ball is in the air with a defender next to him the chances of the striker being able to control and shoot well were low.

unfortunately its not the first time, whether he gets bored/wants to be the hero/cant read the play im not sure but he charges out of his goal far too often, sometimes getting the ball but the risk is always there and it never looks like hes in control. For me hes not learnt from his mistakes.

dawlishmatt wrote: 24 Feb 2021, 19:35 No my good friend brucie, it was me. it's sad, quite pathetic really that you alone always seem to post negative comments concerning my posts. Never mind bruice, the net is closing in.
Dont be alone here Brucie, for coming back from a long spell out Wynter had a decent game, certainly better than Halifax and NOT poor like dawlish described.

He was further forward and linked up well with the midfield, he got in and won the ball on a couple of occaisions with quick reactions. I dont really know why you would think he would come back at 100%?

McDonald is a clown, deserves to be sent off, any chance it could be longer than the 1 match ban?

would do us a favour!
