Anyone know who trialist A is? Wasn’t at the game today but appears he came on at half time, so not sure on position either

Learn more from a loss, wasn’t there tonight but some players would of stood out more than most. A 1-1 draw would of looked good but a 5-0 loss will hopefully prove to be a positive in the future. Hopefully a better result against the scum.

Also important to note that over the last couple seasons our most effective players have usually been loan deals, those players are probably still doing pre season with their respective clubs… another Kieron evans on loan and a Sinclair Armstrong style loanee and I think we’re looking pretty solid. All it takes is one bad tackle on Corrie Andrews and we’ve lost all our pace upfront but GJ already knows this

O’Connell signed for Weymouth, seeing as we haven’t seen Gabby Rogers at all I’d presume he’s off somewhere too

After today’s signings, it’s looking like a couple more attacking options and we are in for a good season!

352 or 442? 433?? Plenty of midfield options, defence looks strong too

Reports suggesting Liam Davis back in training… maybe training for fitness, potential player coach? Gives us a backup option to Dan Martin as I think we can all agree moxeys days at left back are numbered

Updated again.

Two great signings confirmed today, think the defensive options are sorted. A goalkeeper is still a must and hopefully the loan market will hopefully provide us with a bit more attacking threat

Seems like former Billericay keeper Rhys Lovett was a 'trialist' tonight, and although he didnt have a lot to do, looked very comfortable when called upon.

I know Adam Seedhouse personally, was in the year below me at school and played quite regularly with him at times. I like the lad but he is not the answer.

Updated for Ross Marshall, still need more attacking options and another goalkeeper, but it’s shaping up well

rivieratouch wrote: 05 Jul 2022, 08:32 He's left us twice now. An average back up to Covolan, and still not without his own short comings as a first choice keeper.Thought he was better than us in the end, hence leaving again for a better deal elsewhere. If that deal doesn't materialise, then we should not just be his safety net. Time to move on
Completely agree. Yes Mac shown he’s better than Halstead but there are plenty of keepers around who are better than both. I would like us to move on as he clearly thinks he’s better than us and I’d like to think that we have a few lined up.

Some absolute tripe initially spouted on here… the last time I remember us signing a team of ‘seasoned pros’ or ‘big names’ we ended up with JP Pitman and Josh howling for Christ’s sake.

The youngsters signed this year, compared to last year are miles ahead. Just because you’ve ‘never heard of them’ doesn’t mean they’re crap, it just means your general football knowledge is. The only player I haven’t heard of before is Dylan Crowe, initial thoughts after looking him up are brilliant, as are the other 4 imo

Retained List 2022/23

Like everyone else I would much prefer if we had announced signings as other teams have but Johnson has said very clearly none will be announced until July. I firmly believe players have already been signed, and another large unveiling will probably take place at the end of the month.

I am not worried at all about this season, we must have a very large wage budget available, johnsons had a long time to look for players and hopefully that includes some pace this year. They are both excellent players but I always thought trying to get Little and Lemon in the same 11 hindered us at times and now we have an almost clean slate to start again. A more mobile no 9, some fast wingers and hopefully a stronger maybe more defensive minded midfielder and we're on our way :)
