Also forgotten how to lose you weapon. 13 games unbeaten??Teigngull wrote: ↑02 Jun 2021, 14:58 Dont see why it matters who we're playing, home fans only & only bout 1500 available.
You'll all he pleased I won't be taking up the option of securing mine as I know our season is done & dusted.
Absolutely no chance of winning the playoffs, we've forgotten how to win !!
The team is better off without you. Go and support Exeter

We are playing non league football what do you expect???? This is why these young players are at Torquay and no playing in the premiership.yellowmonkey wrote: ↑25 May 2021, 14:24 Do you go to every movie, theatrical performance, stage show or band concert and walk away thinking that it was absolutely amazing every time? We have been woeful and if not for some superb keeping by Covolan lost quite a few more games.
Countless times we have been left ball watching whilst other teams get back and defend in numbers preventing us from scoring. Our injury situation hasnt helped but have you asked why the players are taking so long to return?
Did Sutton have the injury problem like us and if not why? Can we only recruit fragile or aged players?
The teams we are about to go up against are in form whilst we are still relying on luck.
Oh and when was the last time we actually lost a game?

Teigngull wrote: ↑25 May 2021, 06:47 Got to win the semi final first & on current form that looks highly unlikely.
A step to far for this bunch if chocolate soldiers I'm afraid.
Time for a clear out & bring in players that know the national league- horses for courses-
That's the reality of the situation

It’s a shame some of our fans are like this. I always think some people seem to want us to fail.
I hope you don’t bother taking Up someone else’s space at the semi final and hopefully final.

Torquay United v Barnet Sat. 22 May KO 3pm
Yesterday was frustrating but credit to Barnet they played like a team with nothing to lose and battled hard and got men behind the ball.
Our defence did look shaky for the first time in a while bringing Cameron on was a good choice.
I agree with the comments about little, he hasn’t been the same player since he has been injured and not delivered the promise, wouldn’t be surprised if he is released whatever happens over the next few weeks.
It will be information to see what Gary does next week if the title is lost. Rest key players and give them 2 weeks until the playoff or try keep momentum. It will also give us time to get Whitfield, Wright and maybe Namayne back (he has been training)
With regards to the atmosphere people did try, it’s not normal circumstances and the nerves on the pitch got to people.
Just a thought with most noise coming from the Babacombe road end should we opt to shoot that way in the second half? The family stand is dead and generates no noise.

In normal circumstances I think Ashton gate would be a great venue. The right 2 side could fill it with a great atmosphere and we would take a huge number of fans.
However with restrictions surely we will only be able to have 3/4000 tickets which would leave many fans disappointed.
Given restrictions surely a bigger ground would of been better?

29 May 2021. Who will be Top of the National League?
The way we need to look at it is that we need to keep performing. We have players coming back and the playoffs look likely. Anything extra is a massive bonus.
If we keep momentum going into the playoffs we have every chance. On our day I haven’t seen a team to match us.
No point moaning about what might of been or how unlucky we are.
If we go up through the playoffs it’s a couple of extra games and a trip up to Bristol and next year no one will remember who finished where if we are in league 2.
Keep the faith, in Gary we trust.

If it’s your dream scenario why wouldn’t we win both??portugull wrote: ↑12 May 2021, 12:53 This is my dream scenario.
We draw at Stockport and beat Barnet & Alty. Sutton lose at Maidenhead, draw with Hartlepool and beat Barnet.
Torquay 84 Sutton 82.
Stockport have a funny Home record. 8 wins 9 draws only 2 defeats. Torquay have the best away record in the League with 12 wins 3 draws and 4 defeats.
The 2 teams battling for 3rd place are Stockport and Hartlepool. This 3rd place is very important. Obviously the 2 key games are Stockport v Torquay and Sutton v Hartlepool on 22 May.
Sutton are now odds on with the bookies but I still think we can win Top Spot if we are at our best in all 3 games. COYY.

Thanks for this but it doesn’t say anywhere about ST holders having the option to say they are not attending. Offering more people to attendSuperNickyWroe wrote: ↑12 May 2021, 10:19 https://torquayunited.com/welcome-back- ... ow-army-2/
Next time, before you start giving the club a hard time, maybe you need to look at what was posted on Tuesday on the clubs website.

(H) V Barnet - tickets?
Having seen the most recent post by the club r.e season ticket holders just turning up presenting cards. I take it the club are not engaging with ST holders to see if they intend on attending the match.
I know demand will be higher for this game but no effort to engage may lead to more empty seats and other fans missing out on tickets.

(H) V Barnet - tickets?
Government guidelines states 4,000 or 50% capacity which ever is lower.
This differs from the rules in December so hopefully this will allow more fans in?
Around 3,000 maybe. Uptake didn’t seem good in December I wonder if it will be better this time around d?
