Great appointment.

notnow wrote: 01 Jan 2018, 20:59 Whether it was a board or an owner is immaterial, As you say the “fact” is they lost confidence in him, why though? Pressure? Influence? I don’t know! Please whatever you say do not compare Hargreaves to any other manager we have had, Hargreaves wanted us to go down as he thought he would be a cult hero bouncing us back up first attempt and we all live the result of that! Can’t stand the sight of him in on sport and he still speaks the same old shite like he knows it all!
Nicho was quiet, methodical, honest, hardworking, trustworthy, he is young, inexperienced but was energetic and keen to cut his teeth here, however, despite the lack of financial backing, he managed to put a bunch of players together that worked for him and each other. obviously osbourne couldn’t see that and as I said, he didn’t like Nichos honest relationship with the fans.
"He put a bunch of players that worked for him and each other ".
And struggled for two & a bit seasons , never clear of the threat of relegation until the last moments of the relevant seasons, in his third season he " won the lottery" (his words) with the bunch of useless fraudsters impersonating professional footballers & was sacked by the current owners for being consistently around the relegation zone.
Bloody good manager he's NOT !

Two strikers Imminent?

All new players have to be registered by midday the day before the next match to be able to play, so unless GO signed & registered someone by that time today there will be no new strikers on view tomorrow.

Two strikers Imminent?

We've gone way off subject any chance of getting back on track ? I'm sure other posters would like to post a comment but their views would get lost in the constant castigation of merses choice of dialect on this thread.
I'm going to stick my neck out & hope their is truth in the rumour mill that Dan Holman & Levi Landricombe are the saviours in waiting with a couple midfielder in the mold of a Danny Racchi . :goal:

Two strikers Imminent?

Well said yellow, merse comes across as an old dinosaur at times & has berated me on a few occasions in which I have taken him to task on but I've never held a grudge or got that upset so I throw toys out of the pram ! All comments are a personal view belonging to a wide range of voices some from very different eras where certain things were acceptable but no longer are today. As long as WE ALL remember that we're all fighting for the same cause we should all get along nicely . Happy new year.

Shangull you are coming across as a yoghurt knitting liberal supporting nutjob who has no idea about the real world, anything that slightly contravenes political correctness you are typically going to shout RAAAACISSST from the roof tops, stop trying to score popularity points & see the comment for what it was really meant to be, a personal view of some players abject, soft, after you Claude performances.

If your trying to imply that merse is saying some of our team has homosexual tendencies you are very much mistaken. I have an idea on what he means & as far as I can tell is that some of our team are weak, Lilly livered softies I.e. Nancy boys now what's wrong with that ?

Torquay v Eastleigh 01/01/2018

Get over yourself, we haven't a hope in hell in getting anything out of this game we just aren't good enough from the midfield forwards, as Merse says too many fancy dan weak links in midfield to get a result with no threat of a goal from anywhere on the pitch.
Torquay (0) 0
Eastleigh (1) 2
Matt 1767 (123 away).

Keep dreaming ,the club is dying no amount of tub thumping from far away fans will stop the unfortunate demise of our fine club whilst RSI have any involvement in the running of. Just look at their history for Christ's sake or are you another one of the rose tinted glasses brigade who think it will never happen look at Hereford, Stockport,Darlington et al . Gates are dwindling the footballs crap its an awful way to spend a Saturday afternoon never mind a cold tues eve in dec watching your team consitently give it all away cheaply.

This is all part of C O's plan , relegation means less interest from supporters once they start missing games it's damn hard to entice them back, I should know back in '88 there was a hardcore of around 8 of us from the Teignmouth Shaldon area who all went together week in week out now its only me the rest have better things to do with their time & money (their words not mine), anyway, less interest means less aggro so it's easier to wind the club down, we're down to 1400 gates now & it's not even the end of the year, the club is bring killed off right before your eyes people but some of you are still that deluded in thinking the sorry situation is salvageable . it's not.TUFC are going down with a whimper .

brucie wrote: 28 Dec 2017, 14:07 If GG cannot make the starting eleven then I am damn sure Landricombe wouldn't. People touting Landricombe as the answer are in a dreamworld. He might be alright as ninth choice striker but that's it.
Ok, that may be a fair comment, I've never seen him play so I assume you have Brucie ? But don't you feel this is where we're at with the quality & experience being signed by CO & RSI ? Invest as little as possible to keep it turning over , mind you didn't a certain Jamie Vardy start off at a village club & he was no spring chicken when Fleetwood took a punt on him was he .
