It started off as a debate but descended pretty quickly. Name calling and questioning some ones mental state is not debate. This thread is embarrassing

i could show pages of design alternates, but nothing was as strong as the 1899.
Now who is this!! Whoever you are, the overriding view still favourable towards the kits ;-)

I think people forget we won't have our own exclusive deal with Nike as we don't have megastores around the world yet...

happytorq wrote: 08 Jul 2019, 13:09 I've thought about it a bit more and I'm actually quite annoyed that they revealed the 'limited edition anniversary' shirt with such a hoop-la, now that we know that the actual season's shirts are essentially the same except in a different colour and with a box.

Why didn't they tell us sooner that it was going to be similar? I'll tell you why - because they knew that suckers like me wouldn't pay the inflated £60 if we knew that the other shirts would be almost exactly the same.
I take your point but it could be argued that the club finally have a slick marketing operation in place? There is no doubt we have lagged behind on this for years.

Their marketing of all 4 shirts has been quite impressive to be fair and there is clearly business acumen there now. Thats why they didn't tell you sooner!!

We can't ask for a successful club and not expect them to capitalise on that

You really do come out with some utter rubbish. Asking for respect does not make someone a snowflake. Your comments about KN and CH are childish and pointless.

For everyone successful manager there will be 20 failed ones and no one knows how they will really do when they take over. Does KNs sacking name him a shit manager, no. Nor does it CH. GJ got sacked at Cheltenham so did that make him a shit manager but now he's good again??

There are only 116 managers jobs in tbe FL and NL so the chances of them getting managers jobs are slim but I would be happy to see them both succeed and not revel in them losing their jobs

My fondness of KN and CH as players is not affected by their time here as managers. The simple fact is, if part of Gary's job description was team bus driver he wouldn't be here.

Hargreaves left a position at Bournemouth to come here and was respected in the game. He had cut his teeth as you say and on paper his appointment could have worked. I don't recall too many dissenters at the time when he was appointed. In fact there was a clamour for him.

I don't think Nico was necessarily out if his depth. Given a half decent budget he may have been ok. He was manager during the lowest point in the history of the club, both on and off the pitch. Maybe he should have said " I'm not driving the **** mini bus" let the club fail to fulfill its fixtures, and probably ultimately fold.

We have a proper manager because the budget is there for one.

Were you against either of them being appointed at the time???

I wasn't dissing there business model, merely stating facts. At the end of the day, an Exeter fan has found the need to come on the forum. I was defending our club.

Sorry

Concerned_Of_Devon wrote: 28 Apr 2019, 16:46 4 completed stands?! Great achievement! That must be worth at least a play off spot in the National Tinpot-thingy mustn’t it?

Fact of the matter is that Torquay could learn a lot from the way Exeter do business. I know secretly there is that hint of jealously in there, but I get it, you want us to be your big bad rivals, kind of cute really. How are your owners now, anyway? Still trying to flog the aforementioned super-stadia of yours?
If you did your homework, you'd know it's not ours to flog....

Given your recent history, the last club we need to learn from is you. When our owner is unmasked as a fraudster and tax cheat, I'll tip my hat to you.

Fact is your fan owned for a reason. You were neck deep in shit and no one would touch you with a barge pole

Concerned_Of_Devon wrote: 28 Apr 2019, 15:30 Bless, little ol’ Torquay still feel the need to have a dig at Exeter even when enjoying their MASSIVE title win in the Southern, Semi-pro, Tinpot League or whatever it’s called. Torquay United, minding the gap since 2014.

As an aside, I don’t read a great deal of this board, are you aware of a PSF that has been arranged between Exeter and yourselves?
Yeah I'm aware of the PSF.

When you come down, have a look at our four completed stands. How is your half built new stand looking??

Didn't you buy your away end off Barnet?? I can see we have a long way to go to..
