What happened to the no fantasy bit? Le Fondre, regardless of Rotherham's state is never going to come here. He's more than good enough to play at a higher level in my opinion. George Boyd Peterborough are my other team.
Reid's a good shout, i saw him play not too long ago, he looked alright, but i don't think he's any better than Benyon. Worth a punt i guess if he's available. Magno Viera from Fleetwood is meant to be quite good from the BSP as well.
But i really want Adam Birchall from Dover. I can remember him playing against us for Barnet and he wasn't anything special, but he did look good in the FA cup and took his goals very well.
We should be scouting BSP, BSS and even lower regularly in my opinion. Peterborough have picked up many very good players (and flops..) from the divisions below

Re: Kevin Hill comes to Tivvy
Good news! Surely the club should be helping out others needing it, by sending a few players out on loan? Players like Yeoman, Halpin and Palmer could do with the match time and it'll help the club?
Win-Win?

I really like this! But if it was the other way around (blue logo bit, yellow main kit) then it would look really niceYellowM25 wrote:A bit "out there" but I reckon that looks smart

I'll get up photoshop and have a go in a minute. I think this is actually a great idea that a few other clubs have done already i think? None the less, this should be fun

Re: Ashley Hemmings
Hmm, looks to be a promising signing. According to football manager (my source of knowledge for everything about football) he's very quick, some out and out pace up front would definitely be very useful. I'm not sure whether it's a loan with a view to permenant, I guess if they want to sell him, if he does well then he'd command a fee. If he doesn't do well, then i'd hope we're not too interested in him . At 19 however, he's reaching the stage where he'll have to perform for his club to keep him, or move on.

Re: Kieran charnock
It's a shame, i rate him a lot, more so than an off form Branston. I guess Pickler's untouchable right now, and his previous peformances dictate that, but i'd loved to have seen him stay.

Re: Nicky Wroe on his way!??
I think Charnock is a fantastic centre back, certainly good enough to ge into most teams at this level in my opinion. I don't think Buckle would sell him either, especially as it seems like Ellis could go in January. I'd say in my opinion that he's better than Branston, but Branston is un-droppable, due to his leadership and him almost 'tutoring' Ellis during games.Jeff wrote:Now don't get me wrong, I'm basing this on nothing other than theory and I've nothing against Kieran Charnock. Quite the opposite in fact, I think he's a decent player and certainly league 2/conference standard, only kept out of our side by the Branston-Ellis partnership. Which leads me to think he's too good to languish as our 3rd or 4th choice centre back. We signed him from money-bags Peterborough, so I bet he's not come cheap. And also he openly talked about the fact he would have to move a long way from his family to join us.
I believe he is out of contract in the summer, so with the current predicament it could be a good time to cash in. Accrington were upset they he didn't sign for them, plus there are a host of clubs in his native North-West (Wrexham, Southport, Altrincham, Fleetwood, to a lesser extent Barrow) who I'm sure he could do a very decent job for.

Re: Nicky Wroe on his way!??
After confirmed budget cuts, we're never going to get a proven goalscorer at this level, and if we do, most likely he'll either be injury prone (don't go there) or past it (gritton). Someone like Pope, would be ideal. 6ft3 will always be useful, although we do play better on the deck and could form a little and large partnership with benyon?tufcgull wrote:i think that if we do sign pope then it will be a mistake. we NEED a goalscoring striker. we need someone who can get goals every game. not someone who has only scored 4 goals in 30 or so games.
Bishop on the other hand, is a proven scorer at this level. However, i reckon he's out of our budget range .
