Dan Lavercombe and Wigan
Potentially, we are expecting a midfielder to sign for us this week.
May not be as easy for this agreement to take place as it is with Macclesfield though due to geographical placement.

As for Lavercombe, I like him a lot. Technically a good keeper but I've been impressed by his confidence and commanding of the defence. Many other factors are involved of course but since he's made the no.1 spot his own, we've looked a lot more solid in defence. His improvement over the last few years has been rapid, and I see no reason why he can't continue to do so with you guys next season.

Can the squad be strengthened enough to save us?
Ah shame, I didn't realise he played against us on the weekend and thought I was onto something.OllieGull wrote: If this is because he posted a picture on Twitter of him and Ajala then sadly I believe it was them after the game yesterday as Moke played for Wrexham.

I've been thinking this too. Overnight it appears that Harrad has gone from Conference North substitute to Torquay saviour.tomogull wrote:Okay, okay - I know I'm being picky and Matt will probably have a go at me, but you have to ask - Why has Shaun Harrad been playing for Worcester in National South, and why, apparently, has he mostly only been used as a sub during his time there? He has, as Matt says, been a player to be feared in the Conference, but is he now living on his past reputation?

Briscoe Terminated
Not going to lie, the title amused me a lot. I can just imagine Nicholson being told he needs to get rid of some players before he can bring in another, and turning to Briscoe like this ten minutes later.

On a more serious note it's probably a good move. Talented as he may be, you can't have expensive passengers like him in a relegation battle.

Not exactly got a great goal record recently. Ah well, we can't be picky. Good luck Shaun.

I wouldn't go that far. I'm not sure anyone could.

If I remember correctly he was quite a talented player - good shot and pass on him, could be the key to scoring more.
Honestly I don't think our team is too bad based on what I've seen this Christmas. Wright, Marsh, Verma, Ajala and now this guy should help us score more goals.

Casper Ankergren. Brighton Goalkeeper.
I feel that a lot of the keepers mentioned may be a little out of our league. No harm in trying of course, but both Tremmel and Ankergren have played at a good level fairly recently.

Accrington have hired better managers and have recruited better players. Simple as that.

Other than the fact he's got a terrific name, I know nothing.
Another one from Port Vale - is the link still that Smurthwaite guy? Is it true he still has no interest in the club?

Cheers. Really a game we need to be winning unfortunately.Orange Gull wrote:1-1. We have been by far the better team since I started listening, however, some good defending from Guiseley has prevented us from scoring. In stoppage time now.
