Next season.

I agree, a mass clearout is required. I'm not sure I would keep anyone (certainly no more than one or two). Start again from scratch with hungry footballers; we've done that before.

Point deduction.

This just beggars belief from a so called professional club.

Potential Buyers

Yes, very good point Exilegull. Obviously we don't know what debts the club has. But if a new bidder can come to an agreement I guess it is in their best interests?

Potential Buyers

The only positive I can see about the club going into Administration; the Administrators will now decide upon the preferred bidder (if any of them are suitable).

This begs the question; are any of the bids suitable? Why wasn't Osborne able to come to agreement with any of the bidders?

The Administrators will now look to streamline the club I suspect and look to make savings where they can. Money can't be spent without their say so.

Full time V Part Time

Right now I would settle for a club to support in 24/25. At this time I feel full or part time is irrelevant.

If a part time club continues then so be it, we can't do anything about that. Yes, it will be difficult to get back to where we once were but I feel that's a very long way off anyway.

The club undoubtedly will have lost even more money this season. So how can we continue as we are? Any new owner would need deep pockets to do that.

Culmstock - you raise some very interesting and relevant points. I suspect most of which aren't even known by TUST as yet.
But, this may be a way of the fans eventually owing 100% of the club. It seams to work ok at Exeter!!

I've read the statement. I'm asking if anyone knows who they are and if they might be a good fit?

So who exactly are the people that are going in with TUST. Does anyone know?

Staying Up - Relegation Battle

The Great Muta! wrote: 24 Mar 2024, 19:13 It's funny how fans see things differently, for me 17 losses would suggest this leagues been tougher than we thought it would be, even some of those wins in the 1st ten games we rode our luck, Aveley away, Braintree at home etc, Truro at home battered us, even Slough at home, Aveley, Taunton recently etc, all at times have made us look like the part timers, H&R yesterday had 1 fit striker so it hard to judge them on yesterday alone, they are part time and had played mid week, We are still full time with vast experience..Its a combination of underachieving, tougher opposition and behind the scenes issues have all played their part in where we are, I'm not entirely sure who out of this bunch I'd keep?.
I don't think there is anyone out of this bunch that you would keep, surely!

Tonbridge Angels v Torquay United, March 16 3pm

I'm now at the stage where I am worried for the future of the club, not if we stay up or not. I agree that performances are a shambles but the players have no idea if they are getting paid this month. I don't want to make excuses but the uncertainty is bound to have a big effect.

It's been what, 3 and a half weeks since CO announced he would no longer fund the club. Where are we exactly with finding a new owner as the current situation can't continue for much longer.
There is no way we can continue until the end of the season without new backing. The club could be liquidated any day now and that is reality.
This is my big worry and not if we're relegated or not!

Where's the money going?

I don't think they foot the bill for the u18's. I'm sure that parents make a monthly payment.
Regarding the ladies - I always thought they are a desperate concern and are funded separately, maybe wrong though?
