Never saw that comment. Not to say he didn't say that and the squad was play off ready, not for that league but NLS.DevonYellow wrote: ↑25 Apr 2018, 22:16 Nicholson wasn't complaining about the budget...remember his comment about the squad being play offs ready and the new gaffer had won the.lottery?
Just as ridiculous as Owers' "we're not rubbish anymore".
The truth is neither of them have all the qualities we need but for different reasons.

Yes but what they didn't have was the increased budget to do it with and they weren't afforded the opportunity to bring in the players they needed. In fact when Robbie asked for an extra player because he was struggling to put out a side due to injuries he was told no.Bomber wrote: ↑25 Apr 2018, 16:16 In Kevin Nicholson's four games in charge we picked up one point (Tranmere H 0-0, Aldershot A 2-3, Gateshead A 0-3 & Boreham Wood H 2-4); in the reverse fixtures under Gary Owers we picked up two points - Aldershot H 0-0, Gateshead H 1-1.
In Robbie Herrera's six-match caretaker spell we picked up two points (Guiseley A 2-3, Solihull Moors H 1-2, Woking A 1-4, Chester FC 1-1, Wrexham 0-0 and Bromley A 1-3) - in the reverse fixtures under Owers we picked up seven points - Chester FC A 2-0, Woking H 2-1, Solihull Moors A 1-1.
The powers that be wanted them both out. It's a simple as that and unfortunately early season results gave them the chance to do that. Stage managed well but you reap what you sow and they now have their reward.

I've heard the same thing. Sure you can criticise as a manager but it's got to be constructive not just bully the player and say to him just as he's about to go back out "now go and get me a goal".Southampton Gull wrote: ↑25 Apr 2018, 13:53 Perhaps they need more inspiration than they apparently receive from a manager who is only interested in lambasting them any chance he gets, including half time when he should be addressing tactics and not swearing and bullying players, players won't perform for a manager who only knows how to shout and scream.
The guy cannot motivate the team because he has no personality and no people skills.

Perhaps the pressure is getting to Owers if he started to answer the crowd back tonight. Could the supporters make him uncomfortable enough to walk away because of all the flack he's getting or will get !!1Yorkieandy wrote: ↑24 Apr 2018, 23:08 This is the key debate and one which Chesterfield fans are also having at the moment if you check out their BOBS BOARD forum and the thread about a supporters club.

Sorry Andy but obviously didn't know you had already said this. However, you were right and perhaps they will realise that now but I doubt it. Problem is whatever we do as supporters won't influence CO and any sort of boycott just plays straight into his hands.

Loving the banter but it shouldn't detract from the current situation. Is this the straw that broke the camels back ? Perhaps the is the time for all TUFC fans to come together to get a message to the powers that be in some way shape or form. Because as it stands the club may be no more within a year or two and we won't be having these discussions online.

No dignity involved here. He's been given a job to do and his boss is very happy with how things are progressing.

Please don't put the words Owers, football and management in the same sentence. It doesn't sound right. =DYorkieandy wrote: ↑24 Apr 2018, 22:18 Maybe if the fan had got to Owers then Owers would perhaps have shown us more fight than in nearly a season of football management?
