Do we really want to be risking becoming Bath City 2 ? The fans need to be convinced by this appointment that we do mean business. The thinking behind the Cox appointment was excellent - okay it didn't work out - but the philosophy behind it has to remain the same.

The Board needs to be brave here and not go for a solution that ignores experience. If we repeat the Hargreaves mistake the core support will disintegrate. Fans need to be convinced by this appointment that better times will eventually arrive.

Sorry but Dean Edwards had some managerial experience Arcadia - albeit at a lower league. However that is not my point. My concern is with the D of F no more the role for the managers job is a wide one in a club with a very small board of Directors. I do feel a lot of previous football managerial experience would assist considerably.

I can't quite get hold of the argument for Kevin Nicholson given our present situation. Surely it would be tempting history to repeat itself. No disrespect to a good club man but wouldn't we want someone with more managerial - at the very least player coaching experience. ? If we have 60 people with some qualification expressing some interest I would hope we could find that ingredient amongst some of them to produce a reasonable shortlist.
I think we need to bear in mind that the link man, the Director of Football has also left. Experience is the name of the game for me. I just feel that if we had gone for that in 2013 we might have survived as a League Club. The man who proved just that in 2003 would do for me ! I don't suppose he's in that 60 but surely he's
worth a phone call now Plymouth look settled - we need to do everything we can to avoid falling into regional football.

I am totally confused and have a headache.
Mushrooms normally like shit but there is one on this forum seemingly intent on just stirring it. Why the sudden obsession with lease reversion clauses and the Twitter account of Mrs Cox. Ex managers trying to explain themselves ( but failing miserably ).
A team playing with two managers with conflicting views and no defence. You really couldn't write this stuff.
It's been a totally totally crazy week. I wonder what the odds are on a 4-0 home win are tonight.? Perhaps then we could all move on.

Okay 4-1 then.

Okay so you were proved right on this occasion. However to save the club it will require more than people begging questions won't it.

Totally agree with the your post Tommy. It seems a really difficult situation, a real low point, but now is the time to find the support part of being a supporter. Name calling will not assist the club and however low we feel it will not be constructive. I hope we can get a reasonable attendance tomorrow and demonstrate that a spirit exists that will, however long it takes, see OUR club through.

The normal perspective of little gulls is to look down on people from on high, achieving limited and small frame views, but the ability to poop on anyone and everyone. Please little gull go fly away somewhere else. You are not wanted here.

Totally agree with you Roadrunner. We have to be very patient this year. We have confidence in this year's Management Team and we have therefore got to be careful not to undermine the players they are expressing confidence in. This is a very young team who we hope are capable of learning the game down here. The simple truth is therefore there will be occasions when they underperform. Yesterday was clearly one of them.

I have a feeling this guy will do well for us. He certainly brings a different dimension to the forward line.

I just feel a tad uncomfortable about this. I have always felt Paul Tisdale has been a superb manager. Exeter City have been absolutely magnificent with their gesture on the gate money and the Exeter fan giving half his draw winning to us exceeded even that word. Brilliant. If however the comment about the Exeter manager publicly eyeing our trialist are correct although I accept it's perfectly fair in terms of football ethics I am not sure it is his finest hour.

Agree with that but he would make a lot of difference in this league. Depends where he feels most at home I would guess.

I think he had a trial at Gateshead?... but where has Rene Howe gone.? Not suggesting we can afford him but a fan is allowed to dream ! To my eye he was a real ace had holding a ball up.
