Playoff Final Vs Hartlepool at Ashton Gate
Some last minute drop outs means I've got a set of 2 tickets and a single ticket going if anyone knows anyone still looking?

Final Game - North Ferriby @ 12:15
Was nice to make the trip down from Cardiff today for the game, my dad caught a 6am flight from Dublin to join me. Torquay looked good, although I feel probably helped by a not great opposition who rarely threatened the Torquay goal. Having seen the team play 3 times this season (Lincoln (H) and Braintree(H)), I cant really comment too much on the overall performance of team but I'd say most of the players who played today have a chance of being around the squad at least next year, possibly with the exception of Harrad when he came on. Agreed the fresh start would be nice, but at the end of the day, who would want to make the move down to Torquay if they've heard who we have as owners? Why not keep the basis of our squad currently and add a few to it so we can actually name subs every week.
Watched the game from the Babbacombe End, as a bit of a change (and we got there a little late!), was very strange, albeit nice in the first half. In the second half, it was rather difficult to tell what was actually going on, but was still able to film the first goal and the subsequent atmosphere and hooligans. Hopefully next year Newport can come down, and then I can add one cheap game to my list.

A little quiz of the Season
Put together some stats on a spreadsheet and came up with a little quiz to celebrate(is that the right word?) our season
These are only for league games, not that we ever have many cup games to worry about anyway
1. Against which 4 teams did we score the first goal against both home and away?
2. Which 4 teams did we beat both home and away?
3. Which 3 teams did we not concede a goal to all season?
4. How many, and which, teams did we finish the season unbeaten against?
5. How many points did we lose from winning positions?
6. Alternatively, how many points did we gain from losing positions?
7. How many 0-0 draws did we witness this season, and against who?
8. How many games were decided by 1 goal, of which how many did we lose?
9. Number of points scored against top half of table, and bottom half (separately)
10.Against which 9 teams, at home, did we concede the first goal
Good luck!

Also kept Ives during first season. Benyon was banging the goals in along with Bowman, chappell and Cameron popping up with a few as well.
Went up via play-offs finishing second in the league first season, struggling to get any form going in league 2, currently 21st after 14 games

Well I hope you can at least get our players names right unlike Lincoln..lesgtfc wrote:Oh, one other thing. I can recommend our programme which won the Best Programme In The Conference award last season. Always has about 5 or 6 pages on our opponents and usually has a "Where Are They Now" feature on 2 previous successful teams of the past.
It's £3 but well worth it.
Should be a decent game this, will be happy to see our unbeaten run continue, and maybe even yet another clean sheet but I'm going 1-1 on this one.

From the whole punctuation of it, it looks like it has been copied and pasted from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torquay_Un ... C.#Stadium

well if we won 6-0, then we'd only need Bristol to lose 4-0... wonder what the odds on that would be?PlainmoorRoar wrote:
although we could overhaul wycombe on GD, we would still need bristol to lose around 10-0 to overhaul them!

Currently Wycombe's goal difference is -10, so a 5 goal loss next week would put them to -15, not -16?ferrarilover wrote:Not quite Gaz. If all stays as it is now at the end of the match, we could win 5-0 and stay up. Our GD would be -16, as would Wycombe's. In the case where two sides are on equal points and equal goal difference, the decision as to who finishes where shall come down to goals scored. As it would stand, we would have scored 44, they would have scored 42.
Overhead kick for 3-0 Northampton. What a day for it to all come together for them. f**king Dagenham.
Matt.

Yes, as Brizzle and Wycombe both on 48 points, while we're on 45 (with a win), but with -10 and -11 goal differences respectively, whereas ours is current -21.taunton_gull wrote: Is that even with a Northampton win today?

still 6 from what I can work out, another goal for us and it would be 5.ferrarilover wrote:So, we've now to win 5-0 against Wycombe.

Wycombe level with us winning means we aren't mathematically relegated today though... only requires us to win 6-0 next week against Wycombe.
