Its got everything to do with TUFC with employment rights etc .
Really? I didn't realise Brexit had everything to do with Torquay United, thanks for informing me.

Can this thread be either locked or moved? Failing to see how it's related to TUFC now.

Harrop Has Left The Building

MellowYellow wrote: 29 Oct 2018, 19:23 Whose to say he wasn't. But demoted from General Manager to Youth Coach would be a bitter pill to swallow.
True, but if it was his passion and something he was genuinely good at I don't see why he wouldn't? Pride?

Harrop Has Left The Building

Anyone 'in the know' know why Harrop was not offered a role in TUFC's youth system? I know Dave Hedges has become head of it now but I'm sure I read his background was in player scouting/recruitment.

Elections May 2019

I agree with the sentiment that the need to leave Plainmoor isn't massive at the moment. That being said, I do also think it is wrong to instantly shoot down any stadium plan - I think it has been well documented within the Torquay fanbase of CO's inability to deliver on promises before and is something that should definitely make us wary. However, the plans to create a new stadium that could raise additional revenue would definitely be a benefit imo, the question would be making sure they actually happen and as SeniorDingDong says above, everything should be watertight to prevent a field with jumpers for goalposts being put in place with us being booted out of Plainmoor.

FA Cup

Unaware of the FA Cup rules (it's been too long), but if Gerring has already played for Billericay in the cup, would he be cup tied and unavailable? Or have I just made this rule up...?

FA Cup

Not the most attractive tie, but one I would rate our chances in, especially after the game a few weeks ago!

Looks like 3-4-3 to me? MacDonald - Sendles-White, Niate, Cameron - Edwards, Hall, Andrews, Davis - Reid, Janneh, Kalala
Subs: Burton (GK), Essuman, Keating, Williams

Kalvin Lumbombo-Kalala signs!

I'm sure it's already been mentioned somewhere, but GJ has a knack of discovering raw players and moving them on higher up. Signed Kieffer Moore from Dorchester when he was at Yeovil, and also Mohamed Eisa from Greenwich Borough to Cheltenham (now moved to Bristol City). Let's hope Kalvin is our version of this?

NEW MANAGER GARY JOHNSON

On the Devon Live podcast, he said he hoped there would be 4,000 (attendance) for the "6 pointer" against Woking! Would love it if we got anywhere near that but can't see it happening.

Mr Owers steps down

hector wrote: 12 Sep 2018, 20:03 I really hope the club is not lazy like the Herald Express and considers former players or managers or those who manage minor clubs locally. There are managers out there who we haven’t thought of, who would be more suitable. The likes of Mark Collier, Bobby Wilkinson would be better choices than the #legend route and you’d hope Harrop ha snothing to do with the recruitment this time and this Edwards guy recruits as he would in a company. You choose who you think the best people are, not the most popular or those who used to work there.
Pretty sure Bobby Wilkinson has just had his contract extended, so would be very costly and unlikely.

If I recall correctly, the Twitter feed stated something just before the match on Saturday about him picking up an injury in training on Friday. Not sure the severity of it though.
