Good news to come?

CP Gull said:
Certainly seems to know where the back of the net is - scores all FIVE here! Including a rather decent fifth one from the halfway line!

Judging by the standard of play, he should feel at home down here. :}

He can score when one-on-one, round the keeper, find tight angles - not to mention a very well taken pen! :goal:

You are referring to RadiGULL!

Pulling his chain? OK so I was playing around a bit, but gave some useful pointers, I thought.

I've pulled your leg on here before, and that was for a sensible comment

Where to park

On a road, close to the kerb, avoiding yellow lines. :clown:

Welcome, Radigull. The above is an example of friendly, smart-aft banter you may come to expect on the forum. Gentle humour ok, but beware of the harsh sarcasm that is occasionally thrown up on here.

We're all for the same things really, supporting the team we love, airing and sharing views, and debating the more contentious issues.

So welcome to the forum - hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

PS You're not an old-time poster in disguise are you? :)

PPS There's plenty of side street parking near the ground - watch out for matchday prohibition notices on some streets though.

FA Trophy Quater-Final

An intriguing tie and a stern test for us, methinks.

Aaron Dawson on trial

According to the HE, he's a RB on trial in the wake of Durrell's departure. Formerly with the Grecians. Anyone seen him play?

A good few have commented on how well McQuilkin played RB on Saturday, so maybe cover for him?

I went to watch the Ladies today. Goughy scored 7 from 10 chances, so you forgive her missing the 3. Bowman would have had, at best, 2, so his missing of the other 8 would have represented a problem.

Durrell Berry

Like I said on Monday:
Now, if 2000 fans each donated £10 to help along a contract for Durrell, might that not be a shrewd bit of business?
Thanks to Roar, the ball is rolling and £370 pledged so far. :-D

A great start. Just need to keep up the momentum ...

The ball is rolling.... :keepie:

We need to hit the £2000 mark which is a great gesture in the right direction. £20,000 would be more like it though, so pass the word round!! :scarf:

' Dare I say this, but it's being suggested on the capital gulls forum that the player on trial is Danny Woodwards, which may suggest Chris Hargreaves is already looking for a new and more permanent right back. '

Do you mean Danny Journeyman Woodards? Formerly of Excretia, Yeovil, MK Dons etc? Or Edward "Mr Callan" Woodward. Either way, they are knocking on a bit ;-) And neither are prospects for selling on at a profit.

Now, if 2000 fans each donated £10 to help along a contract for Durrell, might that not be a shrewd bit of business?

Whoops. Sorry. I gather Mr Woodward OBE died in 2009

MOTM - Alfreton

Ajala - work rate and attacking spirit (but WHY OH WHY didn't you pass that ball, and then stood there laughing about it!!!)
Young - work rate and pinpoint passing (were you watching Liverpool? Your natural successor to Stevie G is right here, available for a bargain £3 million)
Downes - solid at the back, nearly scored
Seabright - looked confident, commanded his area
Berry - reliable, tidied up any mistakes he made

Good luck, Niall. You have a real turn of speed - a latent talent alongside which you need to hone your other skills. I really hope you succeed.
