Spare ticket for today's match

tuafc wrote: 19 Apr 2019, 11:00 Appreciate it is fairly late in the day but one of my family has had to pull out sick today so we have an adult ticket available. Will take a tenner for it if someone can make use of it.
Just sent you a private message to call me if you still have the ticket. Possibly can help

gateman49 wrote: 21 Jan 2019, 21:49 Perspective? Yes, murder or manslaughter in your quoted cases but I'll stick to thuggery for what I saw.

Another contributor has apparently condoned the use of flares but, I repeat, it is a criminal offence under the The Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc.) Act 1985 to attempt to enter a football ground with one or having gained entry to have one (let alone light it).

Whether or not Bath treated the match as 'higher risk' is not at issue here, that is a completely separate matter as is activity in the city centre.
That was full blown Thuggery, it definitely wasn't handbags.

I also found a large chunk of our fans shouting and singing paedo at Ryan Clarke for the whole of the second half incredibly cringeworthy.

Whereas in the past I've taken many friends and colleagues to Torquay games, and always been excited about what they'd think of our away following/atmosphere, I wouldn't dream of it based on what I've seen this season.

Sort your lives out. You're an embarrassment to our club. Absolute wasters.
When Bath scored the first there was a mob of about 50 odd charged at the Bath fans, some proper punches being thrown over the fences.

Unbelievable really, we have a real little hooligan element nowadays.

I just got on the train at Keynsham and some proper rough local thugs just got on going to the game. Anybody thinking of causing any trouble may not have things all their own way.

It's definitely longer than 20 minutes from Bath Station, it's a 15 to 20 minute drive. I would change at Bristol Temple Meads and get the train to Oldfield Park. I live in Keynsham, which is 5 minutes on the train from Oldfield.

Looking forward to the game, nice easy game for me.

Typical snowflake generation, wouldn't have known a decent Torquay side in their generation,
Just get your homework done sonny.

As for the beer comment, when your old enough to buy a pint with your pocket money get back in touch, until then stick to your Maccy D's milk shakes.
Ha ha the poster who gets offended by people discussing our title rivals on a football forum (and gets offended by pretty much everything else) calls people snowflakes. Oh the irony

I don't think we went this long unbeaten in 98 but fairly sure we won 8 on the bounce, which equaled the club record if I remember rightly.

That was a great season

sgf wrote: 01 Nov 2018, 18:19 The club have now launched an investigation. I appreciate we have a few mindless idiots but can't help but feel that this is being highlighted more than Westons shambolic match arrangements
Westons shambolic match arrangements are irrelevant, a) they will probably never face that size away crowd again, and b) I managed to behave like a normal bloke trying to watch a football match in spite of the arrangements, so therefore it wasn't the arrangements that caused the behaviour. Some people seem to be downplaying the behaviour, but it really was atrocious in parts. If a bigger club came to Plainmoor and acted in that way we would be up in arms.

I didn't see which one of the mongrels it was unfortunately, but it was cringe. Fair play to the keeper for not reacting

If the little prick who just spat at their keeper reads this forum, do us all a favour and **** off. Quite embarrassed to be a Torquay fan at the moment

I'll be there Tuesday and thoroughly excited. Very easy one for me as work in Clevedon.

Anyone know if there are any boozers near the ground that Gulls fans will be in before the game?

FA Cup 4RQ Draw

I don't know why, but this thread reminded me of this game- http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/footbal ... 429765.stm. I took my ex girlfriend (she was my current girlfriend at the time) and she loved it. We won 5-0 and the atmosphere was very good. She ended up going to quite a number of games with me, we dated from 02 to 06 so I guess it was a golden period.

Not very relevant, a little nostalgic trip down memory lane, but what made me think of it was the debate as to if we'd get 2000 for the Winchester game. We had 2739 that day, and also, I remember thinking who the hell are Borehamwood. Now they are about 20 places ahead of us in the pyramid. A season later we finished above Swansea, Hull, Huddersfield and the next year played Bristol City and Sheffield Wednesday in the league:-(
