Re: FA Cup v Crawley Tickete'd

Your damned if you do and damned if you don't.

To be fair, it was always a tricky one to call in terms of ticket arrangements, what with it being a non glamour tie against non leaguers but possibly one of the most important. Into that mix throw an unknown quantity of away fans.

Being exiled, I hope and don't expect them to change course now and offer tickets up until Friday as was suggested above as I'd be rather miffed and wouldn't bother making 2 x 400 mile round trips within a week.

Re: Tickets please

I would say no chance of more tickets, try your luck and turn up without a SE accent and pay on the gate.

Re: Ellis bid rejected again!!

....and if they were in the Premier League they'd be challenging for a Champions League spot.

Jeez, perhaps when I see the red shirts come out next week I'll think Man Utd have actually come to play us.

And we're just about to sell half our team to Championship sides!!!!

Re: Tickets please

5500 capacity. Easily a sell out.

think the club will make the remainder of our capacity all ticket.

Re: Ellis bid rejected again!!

It may be tight, might have been different had we been drawn away, but no mistake we are the favourites for this tie, end of.

Re: Ellis bid rejected again!!

Crawley cannot possibly be favourites.

We're a league above them and at home. We're not playing Man Utd!

Ridiculous statement!

Re: Ellis bid rejected again!!

HE said this week, TV money for 5th round is £250,000.

I don't beleive everything I read in the papers but I take it they might have done their homework.

So, 90k, plus 250k and some gate receipts 'could' be worth close £0.5M.

Of course, we could get dumped out and we could win and get Hereford away.

Re: Ellis bid rejected again!!

An interesting time in terms of finances. Most clubs in the bidding for Benyon, Ellis etc must be hoping we get knocked out of the cup next week as arguably the game could be worth £0.5M if we get through (prize money) and get on telly (250k) and gate receipts.

Getting through surely must strengthen our arm in negotiations and we could just sort it out in the summer unless we get a crazy offer.
