Argh. Sorry, I didn't see this in time (I wouldn't have quite been there at 2 as it happens either). I can direct you towards the Big Cartel store if you are still interested in picking up a copy.Phipsy wrote:Bobby.

I think it's very interesting that some people think of themselves as customers as opposed to supporters. I'm not sure if that means anything but it's interesting...

Highway to Hele #2 in stock (Alex Russell, Laura Gough...)
Hi everyone.
I will have copies of Issues 1 & 2 at the Gateshead game tomorrow. If you know you'll want one, best to get in touch on Twitter as I don't know where I'll stand yet (depends on where the programme sellers are). If you could spread the word that would be awesome.
In other news, we had some press in the Herald recently and should also appear in the Western Morning News in a week or two. Nice.
Thanks to everyone who has subscribed. The response to this has been far better than I hoped.
Issue 3 coming in about 2 weeks or so.

The game this evening.
I was really hoping we'd put in an encouraging performance tonight and that certain players' confidence levels would be given a boost.

They're all at that these days. It's a curious sideline, can't see how any of them are making any money.BayGull wrote:Reading that Stefano - I can add that Lee Mansell had a 2nd 'job' whilst at Plainmoor - he was/still is an agent for Herbalife!

Clubs already sniffing around our young talent.
That's some crystal ball!ferrarilover wrote:Bristol City, Swindon, Peterborough, someone like that'll have him off us. He'll be a minor hit, then go to Derby County where he'll stay for a couple of years until he is released and picked up by Sheffield United. He'll go to L2 York City on loan and sign a permanent deal there that summer.

Wrexham Review
A lot of people have gone into depth here, and a lot of their points are valid. My main criticism - which I think ties in with what a lot of people are saying - would be that it is too dry. It reads like a set of bullet points.
Don't be afraid to consider the context of the occasion, the atmosphere in the stand and the way it makes you feel. This is what we try to achieve in Highway to Hele.
Keep writing and do what comes naturally, try to develop your own style.
Thanks for sharing.

I think eventually replacing Tonge is a long-term problem, not a short term one. Unless this guy is a lot better there may not be a need to make a switch. Tonge's been alright at this level, I'd just have my doubts about keeping him on and playing at a higher level.

I read this story on BBC then clicked through to another one from less than two months ago. He was directly quoted (and okay, I know the pitfalls of believing everything you read) as saying youth team football wasn't challenging enough for him. To me, this renders Hargreaves' comments as irrelevant as he's obviously not thinking about staying in the youth team for a while before stepping up. It's pretty obvious he (or his Dad) thinks he's good enough to play first team football and would rather do this elsewhere.
I don't know him personally obviously, but the way this has been reported coupled with his comments on youth team football lead me to believe that he isn't afraid of upsetting people.
I thought he looked a good prospect when I saw him. Whatever he decides in the long run I do hope that he doesn't end up on the long list of young players that moved on too soon.

Sorry, I only set up the postage on Issue 1 and not the rest. I will rectify this now - should have done them all but forgot to do it when Issue 2 came out.Scott Brehaut wrote: Hi Bobby,
I've tried to order the next four issues, however I am encountering the same issue I had last time (it lets me select Guernsey, but then says you don't post there.

Hi, (it's just Rob - as in Robert but not even my mother calls me that)Glostergull wrote:Hi Robin
Have put my order through for next 4 issues. But noticed i have been charged double. ie £8. can you tell me whats gone wrong.
Glostergull
I emailed you back on this - it's not double, that price includes the postage, so it's £4 for the four issues and £4.80 for postage for those four. Hope that makes sense? Thanks for subscribing.
If anyone has received their copy of Issue 2, let me know what you think!
