I'm encouraged to read the reports that Bodin was one of our best players, he has improved these last few months. Ok so he's still a country mile away from where i believe he should be but we are going to need him for the run in and if he can continue to get better between now and the end of the season then it could go a long way to helping us survive. It has come to something when i am pinning much of my hopes on Bodin but if he can just get a goal then who knows.

Poke 7 did everythingback he could
Leadbitter 7 used his pace well in defence, sadly when he got into the last third didn't take on his man and cut inside
Saah 6 just about did enough
McDonald 4 not enough strength or determination, missed headers which led to problems including second goal
Nicholson 5 average
Lathrope 5 average
Easton 5.5 at least he switched the play a couple of times
Jarvis 4 Credit for his goal. But offered nothing else and at times just passed to get himself out of trouble
Bodin 7 Play with purpose when he got the ball, he did want it. Unfortunately we didn't find him often enough
Benyon 6 Ran hard, agree with the above
Howe 6.5 Worked hard, lost his tactical discipline at times and wandered, through frustration. Cajoling team-mates to play with more quality.
Oastler 4 for the same reasons as Jarvis

I am not a negative person and I am not kicking the players but the marks show where we need bring in reinforcements and hope Damian Davey can peform miracles.

I know we have differing opinions Nick and i have credited him for bringing in some good players on a shoestring and although i'll always maintain that Bodin was and is a complete white elephant i have given Martin praise for working with zero cash. My simple gripes are that our squad is better than 7 or 8 teams around us IMO so used properly we should be comfortable, not pulling up trees but relatively safe right now. Also, whether you are Chelsea, Torquay, Alfreton Town or a pub side, it is always possible to set your teams us offensively and positive from time to time regardless of skill or ability. It's about attitude and application.

I agree with you though about the board, what Dave forever was saying months back about the board worrying about losing money by adding some decent players will quite possibly come back to bite them on the anus. He also said that the outlay for the players is nowt when you compare how much we will lose by being a non league side once again.

In all fairness Oastler played quite well when he came on, still would've prefered Craig in the middle

Without meaning to take all blame from Ling (we all know you don't like the job he's done), BUT, he's had little/no money to strengthen after losing the players we did, always a risky game by the board. Their short-sightedness is what has really screwed us over. There is no way we should be in this situation after the last two years, but we are.

Absolutely terrible! Nathan Craig, Niall Thompson and Lloyd Macklin on the bench and wasn't even used, even when we were 2-1 down!! I would have those players playing in the starting line up! I just.....eurgh.....I give up!

I disagree with that to some extent Neal, the problem has been rocking up to each away game and sticking 11 behind the ball EVERY F*CKING GAME and hoping not to lose. It's an absolute disgrace and it's no wonder we have the worst scoring record away in the league. I know i'm repeating myself but i've been to Port Vale, Chesterfield, Wycombe, Rotherham, Bradford, York, Burton, Fleetwood, Rochdale all away and i can honestly say that we probably had less than 10 really good goalscoring opportunities in those games. I have said all season there is a time for keeping it tight and a time for having some adventure but we have just plodded the same path and to do it every week away from home has killed us. A lot of it is about attitude as well as quality but if you have the right attitude then you can negate some of that lack of quality. So i reckon a lot of our team is good enough to be mid table at the very least but their minds have just been neutralized by Ling. Sounds like a sci fi scenario but we're like f*cking robots programmed to not deviate from the master plan which is the most extreme form of safety first football i have EVER seen.

No way am i going Accy now. It hurts me to miss games i can get to but i know what to expect, we have played the same way in 95% of away games this season and we'll do exactly the same on saturday. Accy are the worst possible side to be facing especially after THAT 3-0 rout they had tonight. Their pitch will be atrocious, it's tight, it will be a shocking atmosphere, it will be grim, it will be cold, we will be under the cosh, and we will lose. Really really bad time to be playing them to be honest. If they think i'll be spending any more of my cash and trekking to Accrington when i'm ill then they can f*ck off. If we look like we actually WANT TO WIN AN AWAY GAME OF FOOTBALL at Accy then i will consider going to some of the remaining games but saturday is it.

Every game every point is vital we need players, can't see what the confusion is,, Knill must have known who was in his mind when he was offered the job. Either he didn't want to bring them in after one match,, two matches, or he was prevented form doing so? Which is it ????? it's bordering on the rdiculous to think we could possibly survive with what we have here when he arrived, he must have known that so What the feck is going on ??? Answer these questions, honestly, then we might start to get somewhere. Being confident in the quality we have here , as Mr Baker recently said on the O/S recently is just unbelieveable.
