My quintessential memory of Brucie, the one that really summed him up, was a number of years ago when we were struggling at the foot of the table and playing away to the division's form side with a formidable home record (can't remember who, and it doesn't matter).
We lost, as expected.
He'd bet against us and came on here to gloat over his £25 winnings and claim that 'he told us so', like he had some special insight, when in actual fact nobody had suggested the outcome would be any different.
One of life's losers.
