well said plym, they may be bigger but not that much, and as i said crowds between 4,500 and 5,500, hardly makes them a big big club does it, sorry to say it but he is an arrogant tw-t

Based on the last two seasons, they are bigger not better.

That might change come the end of this season though. It's what i say to my Argyle mates who constantly remind me of our poor attendance figures and the fact they have been in the championship.

They are a bigger club, but right now certainly not a better club.

Sorry chaps, have to defend Martin Allen here - what he has said is actually true-ish, historically they have been in a higher league than us, their stadium is bigger, fan base larger. Much as I hate the 'we're a big club' crap, I don't think he has said anything detrimental about us. And personally, much as I'm behind the current management, if we had a chance to have MA here, I'd bite somebody's arm off to make it happen. He is a real motivational, passionate type of manager who makes the most of limited resources and although he comes out with the occasional controversial statement, I'd rather have that type of man in charge than when we had a certain Mr Buckle blaming the fans for not making enough noise when we lost. Bit of grit, bit of fighting talk, I wish him well...just wish he wasn't at such an arse of a club :)

what a complete w-nker, who does he think he is manager of? this is gillingham not frigging arsenal, they are in the same league as us for a reason they get gates between 4-5500, bloody hell martin allen you need to get real mate, you can start spouting off when you are manager of a premier team. what an arrogant NOOB YOU ARE .

Oh dear Jonny, we are an angry little man tonight.

And USA then sees this, somehow, as my belittling the aggressor.

You'll forgive the incredulity with which I type this.

Matt.

They only just managed a draw with Argyle today. Oh how the mighty have fallen, Mr Allen!

Yep, I'm in the same camp as Matt and gtp, obviously he's still a little upset with lil ole us denting his pride a while back.

Putting it into perspective, I can't see Martin Ling reacting in the same way.

I'm with Matt on what Martin Allen said. I'm afraid his comment shows him up to be an arrogant c**k. Lower level teams indeed, I just hate that false "big club" bollox, and Gillingham aren't even a big club but a little club like Torquay. F**k off Martin Allen, can't say I wish anything for you but to fall flat on your face.

What an arsehole. Get over it Allen, you were bested by 'little old, Non-League, not fit to kiss your hairy white arse, Torquay'.

Still, they have every reason to be pleased with themselves, they haven't been prosecuted for unfair dismissal this week, which must make a nice change of pace...

A bit of an over reaction ..... ? Pot, kettle, black?

Don't you have anything in your life that has perspective? If you're so bitter all the time, you must have very little in your life that's really important.

Football and its participants (no apostrophe) are always liable to hyperbole, so why does it bother you so much?
