Never have I heard such an amusing and heartfelt apology. I never take offence at your posts mate. Just think your a typical Northern Yorshire Misery guts. it's expected. As they say on Last of the Summer Wine or was it Whine.

Love the bit about SG and Louis being part of the NHS. We should all campaign to our MP's and tell them Football forums are therepeutic. (is that spelt right)?
Just don't disapear. it's not as if yor alone is it. Thinks Dave Pougher. Brucie etc. not to mention a certain trainee lawyer.
This thread and your post would have won MOTM if no other.
Besides. I can live with your posts if you can live with my jokes. LOL

Diva? He he.

Glad you're back Andy. I enjoy reading your posts (well, most of them!) and the forum is definitely better off with you as part of it.

I, for one, do not accept your apology, nor your views, and in the last few hours the forum has been far stronger, friendlier and less angry place without you being a part of it.

I like to think of this as like a JFK moment, just as everyone remembers exactly where they were and what they were doing the moment when the Americans president's skull was pierced by a bullet, everyone will remember where they were the moment Andy actually apologised.

Really hope you can make it to Barnet mate, welcome back. AV IT!!

'AV IT!!!

:goal: Just got to say that i am genuinely moved by all the private messages and facebook stuff asking me not to quit using the forum. Over what most would consider a trivial issue i took umbrage at some comments and threw some toys out of an extremely large pram, not the ones that you get from the car boot at Thoresby but giant supertanker prams that are on sale in the most salubrious of infant accessory stores, AND Mothercare. Oh and by the way the toys were a Rubik's cube because i could never do them unless i peeled off the stickers and restuck them on in the correct configuration, lots of jigsaws as they are for old women and a Mr Potato Head because he reminds me of Dave SG ( and Brady looking at his avatar photo! ) plus he is an ugly tw*t ( potato man not you two! ;-) ) plus he has that many limbs and stuff that you almost certainly end up misplacing an arm or two.

Anyway, this feels a bit embarrassing as it's just Torquay fans forum not the bloody Oscars but i feel like i'm singled out to make a speech. Believe me, if you've ever heard me speak that wouldn't be a viable nor pleasant option. I'd be the Torquay fan's equivalent of Sean Bean getting up onto the podium to express my thanks in gruff, incomprehensible yorkshire style. I reckon Gangnam style would see more success. :-/

At the end of the day i do moan a lot partly because i am a bit miserable but generally it's because a lot of things do get on my nerves. It could be Billy Bodin, it could be the X FACTOR, it could be ticket prices, it could be anything. This site is actually quite therapeutic as it gives me a platform to release all this negativity so in essence the mods should be getting some recompense from the NHS for providing a service. I'm not a miserable man, i just expect certain things to fit in with my standards, morals and values and if they don't fit then i complain. I suppose i am intolerant, a bit like my gut at Accrington last season, and for that i do apologise as it isn't meant in a dismissive way. That is one of the problems of society today, they are frightened of complaining if they aren't happy. How many of you have been out for a meal, eaten it, moaned that it tasted like the catering at Plainmoor, paid and then left grumbling a bit? I used to do it but one day i thought that you pay your money which you have worked hard for only for chefs to serve up something awful and i said that the standard of this food is not what i expect. So i complained and got a refund, ( after eating most of the meal though ;-) ). I suppose what i am trying to say is that if you are unhappy about something then you have a right to complain so long as you explain your reasons for doing so in a reasonable manner. I liken this analogy to the Bodin thread. I've done nothing wrong, just seen things differently to other folk. I mean Miltonkeynesgull said he thought their was nothing wrong with Bodins performance at Wycombe. Two vastly opposing views mine and his. I thought he was appalling , MKG thought he was ok. That's fine.

I am a very reactive person who has calmed down loads since i got a bit older and had a family. I've been in some ropey football situations in the past up here when i was a bit younger but thankfully chose the right path as opposed to the path the Leeds fan who hit Kirkland took and i'm so glad of that. I can't change as a person overnight, i have a short temper and am reactive but they are my issues. As for the advice from Richinns about the anger management classes, appreciate it mate but been there and done it. Obviously it doesn't appear to have had a great deal of success! I've got more metal in my mouth than teeth and i was brought up in a rough northern area. Social equality has a great effect on the views of people, many of you will probably come from reasonably affluent, functional southern families so therefore your attitude and views on things might not be as cutting, severe, black and white as mine. I can't say sorry for these views as i have guided myself through life trying to find the ones that best appropriate how i feel and live. I'm not making excuses for moaning and kicking off but that's the way it is for me so 'AV IT!!

I love the forum, i like the banter and i have met new people so it's not all bad and i'm not naive to think that everyone on here is going to be nice to me or respect my views but i accept i got the huff on and will continue to use the site, assuming nobody has any objections?

It goes against my better nature as generally once i've made a decision i stick to it out of principle, but sometimes out of stubborness. It's what Yorkshire folk do, make their beds and lie in them. I'm betraying that but that's progress right?

Thanks all, it is appreciated. You too Scott!
