Re: JPT

If it was a league game there would certainly be some more motivation to make the trip second time around but with myself being an ardent Torquay fan living in Yeovil surrounded by Yeovil supporting friends, we have been waiting for this game since the last game in 2007 and it's disappointing that more aren't going. England playing certainly is an issue, even if they say it isn't ;-)

I can understand that Jamie as it's a JPT game and many fans avoid them anyway regardless of if England are playing or not. If it were a league game rearranged between us and Yeovil do you think you would still have your 7 pals with you going to the game again?

There was 8 of us (1 Torquay fan, 4 Yeovil fans and 3 keen observers) going down last week. There's only 3 this week. Says it all.

I was just going to say the same thing Matt about the game being on the same night as England are playing. It will definately have an impact on the attendance. Just out of interest though, if this was a normal league game and England were playing, do you guys think that many would stay away and watch England? I'd find it a bit odd if they are supposed to be Torquay supporters.

I think there has been a bit of a balls up here, with regards to the date and the World Cup quali match. That said, as it turns out, I wouldn't have been able to go had it been the Wednesday, so it's all good.

Matt.

Torquay v Yeovil: weather forecast for Tuesday is good; entry is still only £10? The lads deserve a decent crowd. Pass the word round..

Meh, we had a good run.

What if we get beaten in the Semi-final?

Meh. If we get through great. If we dont I wont lose any sleep over it. League is far more important.

Press release by the club states:
TORQUAY United or Yeovil have been drawn at home to Wycombe Wanderers in the Southern Area Quarter Finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

The Gulls face the Glovers at Plainmoor on Tuesday night after the original game was cancelled because of a waterlogged pitch.

Should we defeat Yeovil, the quarter final clash will be played in the week commencing December 3.
