I wouldn't recommend holding your piece anywhere in public, you'll get arrested.

Matt you're more Yorkshire than you realise, stereotyping people is just the kind of thing we thrive off, in the case of priests and the general clergy though, i 100% agree with you. Firstly they believe there is a God, how irrational is that?!! Secondly, i don't trust ANY of them, a bit like coppers and politicians.

I've never seen the phrase written down, so assumed that it was piece as in 'I'll say my piece and leave'. I'm not sure one may hold peace. One may be at peace, wish peace upon another or have peace wished upon him, but I'm not convinced peace may be held. Any priests on here? (Of course not, you're all either in jail or pestering young boys)

Matt.

Firstly Matt you master of sarcasm, you are more than welcome to take over the mantle of matchday thread writer and secondly, for such an aficionado of the English language surely you mean 'peace' and not 'piece'? ;-)

I can manage them unless anyone else has a burning desire. Let me know by 0001 Monday morning or forever hold your piece.

Matt.
