I didn't know that the nickname of Phil Lloyd among the senile delinquents - which was Mr. Consistency - was known away from the confines of the back of the pop. side (half way line).

Never mind the official site - where has the other forum gone - has Dave finally been carted off to the loony bin or something. Seems to have disappeared?

Ours is down for me but other clubs, e.g. Bristol Rovers are fine.

It's because the DNS name servers of the torquayunited.com domain were updated once the bill was paid for the domain. Every ISP updates their DNS cache at different timescales so for example a BT customer may see the new location quicker than a Virgin customer. The timescales usually vary from between 1 minute and 48 hours but I have seen later.

Hope this makes sense but I speak from experience when moving this site from one server to another, same thing really.
This site has become the model of consistency (almost a Phil Lloyd?) since then Louis, Gawd bless yer..

I didn’t experience any outage of service with the OS. So paying over the odds for BT finally paid off then!

So you can't see this?

I tried that Link Richens. It is down again.
I spoke to Dean this morning at the club and he said it was to do with the US company which runs the league sites and he hopes it will be back soon too.
Not good from the US companies position. I can see them getting a huge amount of flack for this. Maybe someone should read them the terms of thier contract. Should be recompense for this clanger. :rules: :rules: :rules: :@ :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red: :red:

For anyone who can't see it this is what it says:

WEBSITE CRASH

AS many of you will have noticed, or at least we hope so, United's official website http://www.torquayunited.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; was out of action for much of last night.

This blip was due to confusion with our domain name registration and an unfortunate consequence of the website revamps going on for all Football League clubs.

Our new site is due for launch at some point next week and we will bring you details in due course. In the meantime, we apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Very strange, do you think they're aware that half of their fanbase can't view the website?

Any update Mr Candy?

I was unable to acces the site last night, but ok this morning. No more news, apart from the link, as above.
