Just in case anyone is interested HUFC boss Martin Foyle spoke a little bit about Lloyd in one of the local papers.

"Lloyd did well. He added a bit of pace. He's the type of player who needs work. He's got all the tools, we just need to make sure he's the right type of player to fit into our style of play."

This was after the Yeovil game.

Well after looking at his twitter profile I hope he lives outside of Hereford and commutes. We do not have a Nandos. He won't hack it.

Some guy on the Hereford forum suggesting he's signed permanently. Hope this is correct.

EDIT - further reading shows he started the game. Forum poster on the Hereford fans site obviously not sure who he is (like many of us on here!).
To be fair that statement would more than likely still been correct had he come on.

I saw that post on the Bulls forum too, hadn't seen that it was cobblers though. He obviously stood out so much that people looked up his number of the teamsheet to find the name of their next superstar .

Looks like we're fecking well stuck with him then... :'(

Matt.

That almost qualifies as wit, which means someone has hacked Brucie's account.

Yes unfortunately one of the players involved in the collison was Macklin himself. Luckily he is uninjured but his smartphone is buggered. Was running with the ball and tweeting at the same time when he ran headlong into his opponent.

They did not, it took them all by surprise.

Welcome back Matthew ;-)

Did the Chinese realise you were already an expert in "mandarin" ? :)

Well, this throws a spanner in the works, it seems that the Evesham v Hereford friendly was abandoned following a collision between two players. Both players seem ok, and the game was called off at the insistence of a man called Foyle (who I presume is the Hereford manager).

Wonder what happens now?

Matt.

Ps. Hello all, lovely to be back

Hereford are obviously not looking for an immediate return to the Football League if they are looking at players like McPhee and Macklin.

I believe the arrangement with Hereford was for them to have a look at him in two trial games. Having played (and scored) against Yeovil on Saturday, it seems that Macklin will have another chance to play again tonight when they visit Evesham. I would imagine a decision on whether things go any further will be made pretty soon after that.

no news on whether hes going or not? better to let him go, if hes a) not right for ling and b) costing wages.
Even if there is talent, if Ling says he aint got the right attitude then id believe that. Martin seems very straight and fair but a nice chap too and has done great for us. So lets hope a club takes Macklin and frees his wage(whatever it is) up and can use towards a centre back.

They didn't appear to be impressed with him on their fans' forum but were (it appears) genuinely disappointed that they missed out on McPhee
