I hope this doesn't end up with something like this;

Funny thread.

The only difference is when they are on a youth contract (like McKenzie was last year) they can be taken anytime but a full time player under 24 can only be when it's expiring.
Top Man. Thank you.

CYPRUS CONNECTION: Following in the footsteps of trainee Alex Avraamides, United now have high hopes of fellow Cypriot youngster Charalambos Mouzouros.

Midfielder Mouzouros, originally from the Anorthosis Famagusta club, is only 15, but he's already on the radar of several leading Italian clubs.

United's head of youth Geoff Harrop has contacts on the Mediterranean island, and he's putting them to good use.'

A youth contract is a rolling year deal until they are past 16 where it is 2 years most times.
Thanks Yellow.

If he proves to be very talented what protection do we have on him under a youth contact? Does it work like the Bosman rule or have we no real hold should we develop him?

I know this is not an issue currently but would be useful to know!

Fair enough!

Does not say too much though - but brilliant we seem to have connections which reach far outside tha bay!

Wonder if he is over on a youth/trainee contract and how long this is?

I remember seeing that somewhere too, couldn't find it on the club site though. Could indeed be related

Then again? He is twenty according to this however and only one part of the name matches!

This seems all very fake!!
Looking at this page, Im not sure ee want him. It lists the matches hes played in, and hes lost sll of them excrpt, one, and that wss against San Marino under 21s. Id fancy my 5 a side team against San Marino under 21s!!

I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I don't think we can dismiss it purely on the grounds that it's an obscure name. If it's true, it's likely just a youth contract or something?

If it isn't true, it seems strange that a Twitter account tweeting all about Cypriot football would exist just to make up obscure rumours. What's the point? I mean it's almost too obscure to not be true. Who'd make it up?

We'll see, I suppose.
