This is true to this very day. :(

I well remember the roaring 70's of the Abbey, Yacht, Compass and 400 clubs, in particular one Summer night when furniture exited the first floor window of the Abbey on to the packed with holidaymakers pavement below. Numerous incidents of that sort resulted in all late night refreshment establishments having their licences knocked back from 2.00am to 1.00am. What happens now on the Strand/Harbourside is tame compared to those roaring days of Glasgow Fortnight and the like. :O

The friends I had at the time and knocked around with were all good as gold but took sh*t from no one. I might add that all of us were and still are just drinkers. This I put down to football playing days where hardly anyone serious about their football smoked. You look into the vacant glazed eyes of some today and you'll see a consumed cocktail of multiple substances. Is it any wonder then that they become perpetrators/victims of crime ?

Back on topic. Many have failed to note that Zebs is the current "poster boy" of the official site.
This I feel added more displeasure to the Board. Anyway that particular episode is done and dusted and we move on.

Get back to goal scoring form Zebs and keep the nose clean. No innuendo implied. :)

I remain unconvinced, by the arguments above that the club should support players found guilty of such matters. Some would argue that the chap can clearly not control himself and could possibly do the club some serious harm to their image in the future.

As is sometimes the case on forums we only read half the story, and I too have heard another court case is due. Time will tell.

According to my mate Zebs has another court case coming up for a different assault charge. Apparently this was stated in the herald but not made completely clear. I can't confirm this as I don't live in the area any more so can't receive the Herald. But I think if this is true and he is found guilty again then I think he should be sacked in all honesty, although he is undoubtedly an integral part of the team I think we should try and get rid of any players that shine bad light on the club. From what I've heard the players are quite often in some sort of altercation on Saturday nights down at the harbour side.

Your right - that does not sound at all clever.

Seems Zeb has a 'catharsis' level at once this is reached then look out. Although he might of been wound up, just like from the Wotton/Argyle incident, and whilst because of the goading you can (to some level) understand why he reacts, you definetly cannot condone the reaction chosen.

He's been warned and possibly fined that his behaviour will not be tolerated, but the club will support him through this community service.

From a fans perspective, he has been one of the key players who got us back into the league and I must admit I would be disappointed if he was to leave.

However, from what I read on the herald express website, I do not condone the actions he took.

I wonder what the discplinary action was?
I reckon a small fine and on your way! I reckon Branston might have got the same as it was him that Zeb was backing up.

Not too sure what they are saying here? On one hand they say disciplinary action has been taken and on the other that they will give him full support?
