This thread is about as funny as this:

I was bad enough first time round!

Have to agree with Cambgull and USA on this one. Not funny, and not relevant, not to mention boring for those who have ever read a 'funny' story about <insert big name player here> signing for <insert small club name here>.

Infuriatingly pointless.

GET A GRIP!

Seriously, is there a rumour mill rule book. I was merely commenting on a Sky article whereby he said his next move "was interesting"/ a surprise to people (he was dangling a carrot, leaving it open for fans to debate before making it public). Maybe I should have been more transparent about the reasoning for my post. Any club in the world would be excited at the possibility of someone like him coming, not just for his ability for he's certainly richer than any of our board![/quote]

Rumour mill means something that you have heard or read. Not something you make up because you are bored.

There is no Rumour Mill rule book (not a written one anyway). There is however a rule that anyone with half a brain cell would be advised to stick to:- Don't talk bullsh*t.

There is a reason why these type of posts always go down like a Lead Zeppelin on the internet. It's because they aren't funny, they don't create conversation, they aren't an interesting read and it's a poor way of trolling. It's the humour of the imbecile. At least the other two recently have put some vague effort into making it look legit.

As for Drogba's comment, those type of comments are usually saved for when a player has had no better offers, so he's off to play in a stupid country with a rubbish league then. His comment is tongue-in-cheek but I'd say it was more to cover up his plans than it was to create debate.

Why on Earth would we be excited about a player who wouldn't even go to Devon on holiday coming to save our little club from Damnation? It isn't going to happen, so why even dream about it? We can do that with the dream of winning the Euromillions, pumping a tonne of money into the club and seeing us playing Premiership football in no time. At least there's actually a chance of that happening, no matter how remote.

Save the made up stories to the sh*t stirrers, the types who cause the problems and then they're too stupid to realise what they've done. They are the breakers of deals, relationships and friendships. There's already millions of them in the World and we'd be far better off without any more of those absolute cretins.

Fully agree Cambgull

I'm only a prick to people who say unbelievably stupid things. I'm also not pompous or miserable, I'm generally quite happy and jokey. The point of this rumour mill is to post up rumours you've heard which are credible, not just make them up when the player himself probably hasn't even heard of TUFC.

What if your story was believed? What if everyone got their hopes up and thought, "brilliant, something good is finally happening to our little club" and it just ends in disappointment because the person who started it just made it up. But I'm guessing that didn't cross your mind.

It's topical, he said his next move "was interesting", wouldn't it be great for him to break the norm and turn down a move to China, Middle East or USA to transform a lower league team. But hey, thanks for being so insulting Cambgull, you miserable, pompous prick.

Of all the 'oh so hilarious <insert big name player here> coming to Torquay' jokes, this one is the most half hearted yet and unfunny one yet.

Can we have a rule where all the half-wits who make threads like these have their names in luminous pink for eternity so we can easily separate them from someone with something interesting to say?
