Looks like Halpin has been put in this sort of group aswell. Didn't realise he was commuting from Cornwall last season though..

The boy deserves a chance, as you could've easily said the same of Joe Oastler before his performances this season. He's had a torrid time with injuries, and given that he had a 2 year contract, it would've been pointless to have just let him go.

He did.

The same for Danny and Lathrope.

Leadbitter is a waste of space - Ling should have fecked him off.

I was on a site with Martin Rice last year when he was playing for Truro.

It's a hard life being a brickie's labourer, especially when you have to shoot off somewhere after a day's work to play football until gone past 9 o'clock at night.

So what is a "cheap" option ?

I know what one in a two and one gang earns. I know what a semi pro goalkeeper earns.

For those on minimum wage, stop calling at least £26,000 a year, a "cheap" option.

Mr Leadbitter - sit up and take notice. I fear it may be too late for Macklin already. Shame as I really thought he had the potential to go on and develop like Muzzy has.

Fair play to Rice - you have always had the feeling he is great to have around and is making the most of his chance.

Exactly, Rich. I've been impressed with his attitude since returning and he works so hard before games helping Bobby as well as to ensure he's warmed up himself.

Fantastic effort, Ricey.

I really love Lingy's no nonsense approach. He is a typical East London fella. Tell it the way it is..if you dont like it..too bad go away and try somewhere else. If you are serious about playing for TUFC, great, but change your attitude or be shown the door.

He gave Macklin long enough to "show the right attitude", if he failed to see that then I dont want him playing for my team. The same should apply to Dan L or, indeed, any other player, who pulls on the Yellow shirt. Go speak to Ricey, Manse or Nicho, if you are unsure as to what is expected.

They seem pretty tight on twitter and both seem more interested in gym sessions than what they should be focusing on.
Put the time in at training and show Ling and the rest of the coaching staff you are interested or otherwise end up like Macklin which is throwing your talent away and ending up heading towards a part time career.

Equally, On the occasions when I have spoken to Macklin (so far as one is able to converse with such a man), he has seemed surley and disinterested, where as DanLed always seems chirpy and eager. Perhaps Manse needs to grab him by the balls and show him the way?

Perhaps Manse needs to grab him by the balls and drag him away from Macklin more like!

Will be interesting to see if he follows in the footsteps Joe Oastler and Damon Lathrope, or if he 'does a Macklin'!
