[quote="Wisconsin_gull"]Still buzzing from the Wycombe demolition - I jumped on BBC site, pulled the updated table, threw it into Excel and generated (bish, bash, bosh) the latest away table - attached

You can save yourself some work by referring to this site:
http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D3/away.html

The 'Home' table is:
http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D3/home.html
which shows us as below average!

What may be more worrying is the current home form:

Including the back end of last season from when we lost at Morecambe its about two defeats in 18 away league games....excellent record.

I'm not surprised. We like to play on the counter with pace and get the abll wide.

When we are away the onus is on the home team to attack, we can then pick them off on the counter attack. It's not so easy when we are at home and teams set out to defend on what is a narrow pitch at Plainmoor. it's really not suited to our game much!

Places like Oxford and Wycombe where you've got a wide pitch and a good surface, it's set up for us. No surprise those have been 2 of our best showings.

Since we're sixth anyway, does that suggest to anyone else that our home form might not actually be as bad as initially feared?

Matt.
