Scored the winner (82min) against Woking home : 1pt turned into 3pts.
Scored the winner (90min) against Cambridge away : 1pt turned into 3pts.
Scored the winner (87min) against Grays away : 1pt turned into 3pts.
Scored the winner (90+2min) against Altrincham away : 1pt turned into 3pts.
Without those extra eight points where would we have finished ? In eighth place four places off the fourth playoff position between Kettering and Crawley.
Then there s THAT cross against Cambridge at Wembley.
Thank you ever so much Wayne for your vital contributions. I wish you the best of luck in life and your career as you move into the future.

Stood right at the front at the end for
this match, with the little gang with whom I attend matches, as well as Paulie Bastard and the "Chief Supporter." This was back in the day when Wayno was still unpopular with some elements of the fanship, but my small posse cheered him on relentlessly all match. As soon as the ball came over from the left (long raking ball, probably Nico), Sillsy was onto it, but Wayno called him off (loudly) bought it down and killed it dead before taking one look up and curling the best shot I have ever seen into the top far corner, beating the Cambridge 'keeper by about 8 feet in the process. He immediately turned on his heel and ran straight over to us in the corner, lept on me, covered me in his sweat (ewwwww), swore a little, then ran off, only for the rest of the team to do the same, it was frigging horrible.
Went to
this game also. Forgot my coat so Ma bought me one at the services on the way up, only to take it back on the way home, hahahaha. Stood on the horrible terracing here for ages, watched us fail to beat one of the worst sides in the world, then PB pulled a master stroke in the 90th minute when he bought on Wayno who had scored late in the previous match against Grays Athletic (as mentioned). We were shooting the wrong way, so it was at the far end, but his dipping drive, over the goalie and in off the underside of the bar was a superb goal. My running 40 yards to celebrate "with" the home fans was not an appropriate thing to do, but it was amusing.
Good times.
Matt.
