He's on the bench for their match against Kidderminster Harriers today.

Josh Staunton has joined National League side Boreham Wood.

Agreed also, we're paying huge sums on experienced players to sit in the stands drinking coffee, no need to add to this list, if the club and us fans are all serious about promotion, then the Ethan Archer type is what we should looking for over the rest of this season, young hungry players who can genuinely develop, over a 2 to 3 year project and carry us forward.

Hall most likely sitting/playing out his last season, Dawson looking a write off unlikely to return next season, we must be looking to build forward not backwards, to go back up to the NLP and chance nothing, will result in us going right back down again.

We waste enough on wages as it is with players incapable of playing a full season.

Roll the dice I say.

Even if he's a bench warmer for much of the time, the experience and option to bring him on to close games out might be worth it

by my very quick reckoning we only have 3 games left to play on artificial surfaces. That leaves 20+ matches on a preferred pitch where a player of his experience could be beneficial.

Not automatically saying we should bring him in, but we've been saying all season that we need an experienced defender; one is now available and is fairly local. Should be worth at least a conversation, no? If he was to sign on for the rest of the season, say, I wouldn't be angry about it.

I think he said when he signed for Yeovil that he'd not be playing on any 3G surfaces (I think Nouble suggested something similar) so it's not as if it's a surprise.

OK...so Computer says No!!
Our defence in recent games has been better than at the start of the season

He played at Plainmoor in the Trophy , looked reasonably solid but as said not up to speed and pretty sure he got booked.

A decent defender but slow, and as mentioned, his knees are well worn. He has played this season but not much. Mark Cooper prefers more mobile (faster) players to press high and get back in defence quickly.

Just seen Josh Staunton has left Yeovil.
Former captain who playes in defence at 32 years old, would he be the experienced player Torquay have been needing?
Apparently though he has not played this season!
Might be a bit of a concern if his lack of appearances have been down to him being fit!
Any comments?.
