And as you insist on saying about "midfield" as well in another post, putting him the midfield would damage him as well.
He's too - and no disrespect here - too lightweight for the type of battle we are in.
Dorchester are a bit different to the Gateshead cloggers ...

SNW I am not his Agent I just want to see him get some games because we are going to need some players with a bit of quality if we are to have even a remote chance of surviving the relegation battle.

I did suggest he play midfield with Marshall at RB and Shaun Donnellan in midfield were he is better suited. Did you not notice?

Why though?
He's not a right back. Throwing him in would damage his confidence for a start....
I don't know what the answer is, but it isn't Moyse.

Think Crowe was recruited with the full intention of playing him as a right wing back; he had an excellent youth career on the right side of defence, but a lot of people do well there because the onus is very much on attacking; as soon as they're called upon to be full time defenders, they struggle. I'd guess that's why his career stalled. But as a RWB, I think he was a decent addition. The problem was, (and remains) that the defence didn't get any help from midfield, so he (and whoever did the same on the left) kept getting exposed. Now that we seem to have reverted to a back 4, we've had to play Donellan there instead. Obviously some blame lies with management for not bringing a dedicated right back who could play in a back 4, though.

You can get away with it if you have a competent back 3 and a mobile midfield. We haven't really had that. Think we'd be in a far better position if we'd had Lawrence from the start, though.

This thread sums up our season perfectly, with ten games left of the season we are having a conversation about who can play right back, way back when we assumed that Crowe would fill the vacancy left by wynter and that has turned a disasster of epic proportions,he has little or no pace, the defensive mentality of a centre forward and doesnt play well with others.
Donnellan has made a good fist of filling in but considers himself a midfielder at heart, if he is not confused by what is expected of him he should be, he has played with a three , a four even a five back line, played all across the midfield never being given the opportunity to settle and become what we hope would be a good player.
Now we are suggesting sacrificing Moyse in playing him out of position in a dysfunctional team, a lad of genuine talent, who I do not want Johnsons dubious coaching talents anywhere near.

It has to be Donellan, a loanee in that position would have been far more effective as it would free Donellan to play in the middle whilst Lapslie is absent

Marshall covered it for a bit on Saturday - and although hes calmed down massively - against a winger i can see him reverting back to grabbing the player too much

Donellan is the best option we have

We dont have a right back, we have not had one since Wynter left. Good shout to call him back as we are short on bodies, however his position is a defensive midfielder and it would be unfair to play a youngster out of position.
I rate Alex and I think he deserved his chance in the middle. He is certainly better than a number I have mentioned in the past. We have not had a right full back all season who can defend. Again blame the crap recruitment and the brothers Johnson.

I have missed just one game at Plainmoor this season.

The boys fought valiantly on Saturday but once again we lost to a late goal due to abject defending by the usual culprit.

Please, please Gary recall Moyse from Dorchester and play him at right back.
