According to Dave the Southampton Gull, he is now the official pie and chips taster in the Pop Side buffet

Happy to believe a lot of what Southampton Gull says, but this may be a 'PORKY PIE'...

It's great to see he's finally got the job on an official basis, he's clearly put the work in over the last few years to get there. I'm happy for him, he's in a job he will truly excel at.

Dave Smith won four promotions - one with Mansfield Town, two with Southend United and one with Plymouth Argyle.
Gary Johnson has won five - three with Yeovil Town, one with Bristol City and one with Cheltenham Town.

Harsh, but true, a stance this club needs to be taking more. GJ has a history of achievement and exceeding expectations, THAT is what we need.
I agree, but Gary Johnson is the best manager in terms of a CV we have appointed in many years. In recent history two of our most successful managers - Buckle and Rosenior - were inexperienced newbies. When was the last time a manager was appointed to universal acclaim like GJ?

Surely would have been better to appoint someone externally, properly qualified and experienced in the role.
I thought Patrick Tinkler resigned recently.
