You can pay whatever you like but if everyone paid nothing because not enough other people had paid then we're screwed.
And it's not just about the money, the more members they have the more seriously the trust will be taken.
Dave Phillips dismissed the trust partly because (he said) they didn't represent the fans as they didn't have enough members and partly because he was in thrall to Pete Masters to whom supporter ownership is anathema.
