Chris Todd Q and A

Ahhhh, poor Louis - he gets the chance to lighten the mood on the forum and it's met with a lot of moaning. :na: I'm interested to hear what a former player has to say, given that I'm a nosey cow. What are his highlights during his career, does he regret any football moves, is he all better, what is his favourite moment in football, who is on his speed dial, does he watch Emmerdale or EastEnders and, of course, does he prefer cats or tables?
Go for it LouLou, have a good chat and report back

It wasn't in jest - when the Torquay job was advertised Todd was immediately on radio devon touting for the job.

Nothing wrong with that of course but in all honesty I don't see what relevance to Torquay United a question and answer session has at the moment now that we have just got a new manager.

Chris Todd is no doubt a good bloke, he was an average footballer at best, but its great that he overcame his health issues.

I just don't think he has anything to say which is relevant to our current situation.

Christ people. Is anyone going to ask a proper question?

My question would be 'What are your thoughts on the team's current position (honest answer), United had a poor start in their second Conference season under Paul Buckle, while you were at the club, but he turned around, how did he manage this and do you think this is relevant to the current situation where we clearly have a number of under-performing players?'

I think Brucie's post was a reply to Louis - and also on jest.

Scrap my questions then if this is the case Louis.

Ask him what the transfer fee will be for Ben Gerring. Will need a Big U'n in League South. The playing pitches are so bad you can only play hoof-ball.

What has that got to do with him hanging around still trying to get the Torquay job though?

I have become aware that you wrote and self published a book about your struggles with your illness and donated monies to charity. How difficult was this to achieve, both in terms of writing openly about such a difficult period in your personal life and also managing to get the book printed and out there and did it sell as well as you expected / hoped?

I ask as i too am writing a book about my 'unusual' life of football and personal difficulties combined and am struggling to see it through at the moment. Any advice Chris?

Would you be in a position to loan us some players for next season to enable us to have a fight for promotion in the national south. I'm sure your fringe players will be have valuable experience in helping us with a challenge having secured promotion to the national league.
