Indeed. If we had 2 more players away with national squads we would be allowed to request a postponement too.

Dj Gull: the reason league one games are off tomorrow is due to international call ups, not because if injuries and suspensions.

I agree with Brucie. ;-)
According to wiki, he has played 62 times during those three seasons ..... and wiki is always right !!!??? It doesn't state how many times he played last season so if as you say, his last start was Dec 2014, that is rather a long time. So I agree with you, and Brucie .... and even Wivel

According to National League website we've signed a pacey forward Joel Ambulo, 21, from Midland League Division 1 Heather St John's. Ambulo was a scholar at WBA academy.
We've also signed on a month's loan Plymouth youngster Billy Palfrey.

Todd was one of a few players who didn't do particularly well when we stepped up to League Two, so he dropped back down a level and saw his career out in the Conference.

If we get a (free) youngster in on loan then they have to play more often than not, so a right back would be absolutely ideal - it would give Berry time to get match fit as well as freeing up Verma to play further forward. Otherwise another wide attacking player would probably have the best shot of game time.

Williams and Robba only miss one more game, and the first XI is still of a decent standard. We literally need a body or two for a game and that's all, unless they're going to add to the squad. Hopefully West Brom have a good development squad full back.

Weren't Todd's performances here affected by his Leukaemia? Thankfully he recovered from that affliction. Even so, his recent lack of match experience and current fitness levels will be issues that affect any decision as to whether or not to bring him into the squad. He's a possibility, but there will also be other options (and other factors) for KN to consider.

There's a lot of agreeing going on here. Not wanting to be left out, I agree with brucie AND tomogull.

I agree with Jerry. 4 starts in three years for a player who so lacked pace last time he was here that he couldn't keep up. The notion that he is the answer is ridiculous.

I would rather have an eighteen year old youngster.

He has always been a 100% player and I'd be happy to see him signed on non-contract terms if we are down to 'bare bones' as Nicho is saying. He's only 35 and we're told he keeps himself fit so as Fred Disley has posted, as things are at present, I'd rather see him in the side than an inexperienced youngster.

Maybe he didn't (go down) but he was certainly carrying an injury as he hobbled into the Gulls Nest with a bleddy great ice pack on his knee after the game! Hopefully he will be ok, but he must be something of a doubt!

Jeff wrote:I think it would be massively frowned upon. Didn't Middlesborough get points deducted years ago for postponing a game for these very reasons?

Law of averages dictates that 1 or 2 of the doubts will make it OK. I don't think Hancox is out on loan, which might make him available. And I would assume Duke's loan could be cut short if needs must. There would also be the option to register Academy (or whatever it's called now) players to make the bench.

If all the reds above fail to make it, you'd have to think we'd line up with:
Hancox at RB (or Richards depending on who is fit, but that would leave us 1 short in midfield)
LRT joining McGinty in the middle
Nico at LB
Chaney in for Sparkes
Chamberlain for Reid

Hardly a team to inspire confidence!
Duke was warming up with the rest of the squad before the game last night.

As he wasn't on the bench I assume his loan hasn't been cancelled and that he trains with us during the week and only goes to Cornwall for matches.
