A friend of mine tweeted him just before the start of the season, that was 100 percent his response. However I do know a couple of people working at the club and they overheard a conversation - in which the club are hopeful of securing another signing in the near future. thats all I can say atm but when I get more details then Ill let everyone know.

Can't imagine GG is paid anything approaching what Angus was on. If Huth is still in Bristol the club HAS to make enquiries surely.

The £1k relocation fee that is being suggested, came from a direct message to Godrington Gull via Ronald Huth's Twitter account at the time... which translated as this ...
GoodringtonGull wrote:This is what the message reads. Granted his English isn't great!

"No friend. I accept the salary little that was offered to me. Pay my flat. Only asked 1000£ bonus by sign and said that no and withdraw the offer. Sorry but it is not my fault. Thanks very much for all the messages to my person..."
There is no mention of what the salary offer was - only that Huth viewed it as "small" but did accept it - only for the offer to seemingly be withdrawn by us when he asked for £1000 to help secure a flat.

That is Huth's account ( according to Goodrington Gull - no reason to doubt him at all) and so I guess it's whether you choose to believe him or not.

All academic now, of course, as the wages freed up in the budget when Angus left, were (presumably) taken up by GG when he was given a contract - unfortunately, decent player though he is, he is not good enough in the air to play centre half and lacks the aggression needed in my opinion. Huth, on the evidence of that one game alone would have been an excellent acquisition but I suspect in the end Nicho felt he might not "fit in" to what he is trying to build. Boy we could have done with him though!

Actually, BLOODY HELL, If I had known that this was the stumbling block I could have offered him a very nice property for a very reasonable price for 1 year, really a kinda house sitter, cant go into details on here but now I have someone. It was half price, oh well too late now.

Count me in. His signing could be a season changer for sure. Come on Kevin, I know you say you do not read this forum because it would give you a nervous breakdown, but someone will tip you off. Lets do it!!
Bloody good suggestion

I will Pledge £100 as a signing on fee for Huth. I reckon its best to go with your idea Portugull, 10 of us at £100 would be more manageable to achieve I reckon.

Don't what to sound negative but I would guess, don't know that the budget that was allocated to him is no longer there?

100 (or even 500) supporters donating £10 each, plus the players fund, should have him fully funded within a week. Makes sense for the club and for the player.

If he isn't playing for anyone get him in on a game to game basis, get him training with us and see. Surely its in his interests to be playing. Where does he live??

If he has not signed for anyone, you have to ask why because he looked a very good player (but don't forget we are judging him on one pre-season friendly). Has he got a poor disciplinary record? Is he injury prone? Both have been suggested on here. There must be a reason .......

IF he is still available and anywhere near affordable its plain commonsense.

Especially considering how much relegation to the national south will cost us. :O
