Doug Clarke also had a 'hobby' for which I believe he received a prison sentence. But we won't go into that ......

Tommy Spratt was given the worst treatment EVER by TUFC fans in the time he played for us. Once he walked off the field in tears. I have never known such hatred and vituperation for a United player before or since.

Yes - agree with my fellow old farts, Trojan, Stefano, Magpie & Jimhart - defintely Bobby Baxter and Dougie Clarke. As for Tommy Spratt, for some reason he was never a fans favourite and yet he was probably one of the first on Frank O'Farrell's team sheet week after week.

Of course, everyone remembers former Manchester United player Tommy Spratt* who scored more League goals than Robin during the 1965-66 promotion season.

Just saying like. ;-)

* A 16-year old, Tommy Spratt, scored 14 goals on his debut for Manchester United's fifth team in 1957-58, in a 25-0 win.

Of course, everyone recognises Robin - the greatest.

Yeah, saw that in the chip wrapper a few days ago. I thought the one people would have difficulty with, would be Eric Burgess (signed from Watford and after United went to Argyle, and later so did Alan Welsh and Micky Cave (on loan form Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic).

(Stefano still the oracle when it comes to the golden years of the mid to late 1960s)

 . . . . . ;-)

I think the one in the middle of the three is Dougie Clarke

Fellow old codgers can help me here....On the Herald Express website page there's an article about Frank O'Farrell sending congratulations to a team he once managed: Leicester City. The first photograph shows Frank by a tactics board with Robin looking on. But who are the three behind Robin? I think the player immediately behind Robin is Eric Burgess, but the other two have defeated me. So come on tomogull, gateman, stefano, samuel, (Bert?) (brucie?) and any other old codgers, can you identify these three?
