Is Ex off? I missed that.

Or it could mean that a player hasn't impressed enough to be offered a deal and the manager wants to use funds to secure other players. With Ex leaving and Hickford returning to his parent club we need another centre-half and I'm sure there will be an addition to rectify that very soon. We'll also be getting a striker so ignore the doomsday calls from parties with ulterior motives.

Thanks Gullscorer. It's a interesting report. I am surprised it hasn't been discussed more widely on here. It demonstrates I feel just how difficult this season is going to be for us all and how much the team us to get behind them throughout it. Let's not have any delusions from a couple of useful results it is going to be a long haul. It's easy to say (and right to say ) we can only work with the budget we have - but the article demonstrates what this means in practice.

Nicho mentions bringing someone else in soon; have some patience, he can't turn everything round in ten minutes !

I think put like this, it's a good decision. Richards is currently on form and nailed down for a first team spot, and Heslop is getting match fit/Carmichael is coming back from injury to partner him. There are a number of areas which could be improved, so freeing up any money for Nicholson/Milton to spend can only be a good thing.

I think a winger or striker, depending on the preferred formation, would be my first choice for a new addition. Fairhurst coming back in a month's time should help too.

Thought he was on non-contract terms - Nicho must have just asked him to close the door on his way out :red:

I suppose with Richards and Carmichael fit again and Hurst and Butler being pushed forward plus Briscoe, Murombedzi, Heslop and Chaney, we're okay for midfield players. Also, he seemed to be strapped up whenever he played so obviously not 100% fit. Shame, though - I thought he had something about him.

Yes - the brutality of football. If he'd scored last night, he would have been an overnight hero.

We are a little light in this area so I would hope there will be someone incoming to replace him?!
