Completely agree with your last point, the supporters are being served up dross so why should they pay? I still think a wise old head, just in a purely advisory or mentoring capacity, is desperately needed. It doesn't have to undermine CH, this kind of support is used in other organisations all the time, it recognises that managers are people too, with weaknesses and blind spots, and that they sometimes need help. And CH doesn't half need help.

Clearly that is right, the club can't keep paying managers off. I was so angry after the defeat to Telford that I just wanted CH gone but I know that is unaffordable unless he walks (which he won't). The leadership needed from the Board now is to give CH some temporary affordable support from an experienced person who can help him to sort out where he is going wrong. This is what any sensible caring business would do for a manager who is struggling. It would not cost the earth, and is better than just letting him struggle and risk things getting even worse. I am not daft enough to just blame CH, the players have let him down badly.

Yes ok the results on the pitch are unacceptable but the most important thing is to see the club is solvent. Without proper leadership it doesn't matter how the team does. If there is no financial input there is no club no matter what happens on the pitch.

To be quite honest Kevgull, I don't know the answer to your question, all I do know, is the number of different people who told me about Rowe and Boyce's, and the fact none of them are known as idle gossipers I believe what I was told, however that's all I know on that subject.

Forever, does that infer that the remaining board members puts their hands in their pockets in order to stay on the board? I wonder how much they were all being asked to donate (invest). Could it be there was a falling out between the previous board members for other reasons and that might be why they were unwilling to put in further monies?

My oppologise for starting a thread not worthy of comment. I've have added what I believe to be the root cause of TUFCs current problems.

Ask yourself WHY are we in such trouble:
Why 1 - Poor results
Why 2 - Squad under achieving
Why 3 - Manager and Coaching staff under achieving
Why 4 - Poor appointment of Manager and Coaching staff
Why 5 - Incompetence at Boardroom level to appoint required personnel

As Mrs Bristow and her son presently have the biggest influence in the boardroom I place our current predicament firmly and squarely on their shoulders.

Out of the 4 board members who left 1 retired, and I no longer think it's much of a secret why Alex Rowe and the Boyce's left anymore, that was down to them being asked to put more money in, and they were either unable or unwilling to do so, judging my the number of people who've told me that, and who those people are, I've no reason to disbelief it.

As for who the buck stops with, to be quite honest I think we're past the blame game, we all love and support our club, no matter how we feel at the moment, whether we're going the games or not and we post on these fans site. There's nothing left to do or say regards the current owners, the club desperately needs either new investment or a new benefactor.

Every aspect of the playing side of the club needs a shake up, we need new a new direction for the first team, and youth set up, this isn't going happen with out either of the above happening.

I now invite Chris Hargreaves to get results, and Geoff Harrop to bring some genuine talent through the youth set up, and not the time wasters we've seen so far, and for both to make me eat my words.

Does the buck stop with the boardroom?
Are they not the custodians of the club?
Do they have the supporters best interests at heart?
Are they just egotistical shallow individuals or do they have a heartfelt desire to represent TUFC?
Is TUFC just another executive toy for some or is it a life long passion?

Mrs Bristow is supported by joint vice-chairmen Simon Baker and Bill Phillips, Tony Carter, Eric Coote, James O'Dwyer, Brian Palk, Alan Bristow ,James Perry and Kelvin Thomas.
