It's not British football, it's Britain.

The Nexus 5 (it's a mobile telephone, for the oldsters) was £279.99 in England and $279.99 in the USA. A dollar is with about 6/10ths of a pound, so it was 40% more over here.

A night at the baseball for 3 hours? $8.

Test match cricket at the MCG? $14AUS

Gallon of unleaded? $3.35

The UK charges crazy money for stuff, and we love it.

You're right about the Germany thing though. The BM Chairman said about the money they charge. He was asked why they were so cheap and he said that the prices lost Bayern a couple of million Euros a year. A couple of million Euros to Bayern Munich is chicken feed. It's their water bill, or a day's salary for their starting XI. But to the fans, that extra 300 Euros is a week's salary, which is a lot.

Very clearly, Torquay can't do that. We can't take that attitude because we have no way of getting back that money. Manchester City, on the other hand...

Exeter did that when we played them on sky. It was £12 for kids and £21 for adults. It's because its on TV.

After looking at their website it looks like Alfreton charge 2 quid for 15yr olds and under if accompanied.

Agree with you on the U16 price lucy, think I paid £7 at Plainmoor for my lad who is 16 rising 17, but to be fair the same could and has been said about us forcing away fans up into the bench at £21 a time, when it's £17 on the terrace.

How else are they going to pay Hawleys wages? :lol:
