Aldershot Game Off?

You wouldn't be casting aspertions in my direction would you lol. As If I would. Hmm Yes I would wouldn't I.
And there was me thinking I would come down and have a paddle. not expecting it would be on the pitch. I suppose the Seagulls felt at home. Did anyone notice any trawlers fishing around the penalty area or Periscopes poking up in Goal. Ducks would be at home as most of them have webbed feet like some of our past players.
Any way I was at home in bed feeling a little illseagull. I suppose I had better stop now. I did harbour ambitions of comedy. I better get me boat. Move over Trojan. Make room on the executive naughty step.

And it's just been confirmed that, despite the 3pm kick-off, the whole game will definitely be played under flood-lights..
And players and officials will all be supplied with snorkels.. :~D

Alternatively, although this would cost a bit, a tilting pitch could be laid. We could tilt it at the beginning and at half time so that the opposition always play uphill. And we can tilt it before games to make sure that the rain runs off to the side. A creative solution to rain and 0-0 draws.

Very handy this - especially for fans coming from further afield (like myself). Hope the club follow this example of early communication provided by Andy here.

Anyway, I'm definitely going to the game. This could be Aldershot's Waterloo.. :)

Thanks for the update, the pitch should be zippy so hoof ball might not work.

Thanks for that update - useful because it is absolutely bucketing it down here (80 miles away) and if you had this for the next six hours I wouldn't be at all confident!

Hmmm was thinking of going today and its chucking it down here. You wouldn't think there would be any likelyhood of this game being called off in august. Couldn't happen could it................

No worries ethantufcbaker. Any exiles thinking of avoiding the game to today because of this forecast don't, it's not raining at the moment and the forecast seems to have changed, now suggesting it will clear up through this afternoon.
