You are correct Richinns, most season long loans will only be looked at after the transfer deadline. Parent clubs need to see how far down the queue their younger players are before they decide to loan them out. If a player is 3rd in line and ready for a loan in July, a last minute sale in the same position during August can see them bumped up to 2nd, potentially on the bench every week.

I'll reserve judgement until I see him against Lincoln.

Must be doing something right to be offered a contract..
