Better luck next time.

This is the first and last time I'll ever say this, but ferrarilover is 100% correct here.

He himself has proven the point on countless occasions.

Briscoe and Cameron would likely be our first choice wingers. Briscoe has some pace and trickery about him. I like the idea Hargreaves has to convert Thompson to a right back. If it works, that would be a welcome bit of pace in that area.

I think Lathrope would have performed well in a central midfield three with Cooper and Young. Still think Harding can do a job with those two, as well. Now Lathrope has gone, our sole remaining donkey work type centre-mid is Cooper. Let's hope he's fit and stays fit and Harding also stays fit and gets to the higher standard he reached whilst at Aldershot and Wycombe. I've seen Harding putting it about to great effect for Aldershot. I'd like to see that happen in a Torquay shirt.

I will miss Lathrope, but if Cooper is to be the man and can live up to his hype then I shall be happy.

Not sure, don't expect so. Think I'll wait until I can see some of the new signings in action.

Ah, sorry, you're going to be disappointed, I was referring to Cooper, but that doesn't necessarily mean there's nothing about which to be excited. Are you planning on attending on Saturday?

I thought Lathrope would have been an excellent foil for Young - doing the dirty work, which allows Young to play the football. On paper that looks like a good combination to me, because whilst Lathrope is limited, he's plenty good enough at this level. Oh well, I'm sure we'll get someone of similar quality...

Those we can't afford are listed. We can afford about £500/week. I'd hardly call £26,000/year more than it's worth for the best defensive midfielder in the division.

Not too bothered about Lathrope, think he was on more money than he was worth (saw him blitzing round watcombe heights in a brand new Mercedes SLK), he seemed to lose his spark over the last couple seasons. In terms of signing players I'm sure there's plenty to come our way- and Mansell/Nicho leaving the club will do us good, force some new leaders into being.
