Hereford Expelled from the Conference

Keyte doesn't care. Towards the end of the season, when Hereford were being chased up for unpaid tax, the fans were fundraising whilst he was on holiday. There is no hope for Hereford United while these people are in charge.

What is happening at Hereford is a disgrace. I didn't realise that the person that Keyte is selling the club to is a convicted lorry hijacker from East London (now lives in Essex). When will the Football Authorities wake up? This has parallels with what happened at Darlington (convicted safecracker there) and speaks volumes for the need to have fit and proper person rules with teeth. Football clubs are owned by people, some good (like Thea) and some bad, but they also belong to their communities. This could so easily have happened to the Gulls and nearly did not so long ago. I really feel for Hereford fans, I hope that they get an outcome that keeps their club alive.

We all know that the ground needs a hell of a lot of work doing to it. But that is extreme. The council have been less than helpful and the local paper seems to afraid to get their hands dirty and do some proper investigative journalism on the owners. Latest news is that creditors will be paid by Friday. If a Phoenix club is set up I will be more than happy to go and watch them play.

There are rumours of the new owner trying to transfer the ground leases to his company, which is worrying as we have just had a new shopping and restaurant complex open over the road. The supporters trust offered to buy the club but it was instead sold to a newcomer to the area who apparently has a criminal record. The fans fought like hell to raise the money to keep the club going and they have been badly let down.

I may be a TUFC fan, but I am also a Herefordian. It's such a shame.
Now even more problems, HRG. I see that the Council has closed Edgar Street on Health & Safety grounds - no matches can be played there until the ground has been brought up to standard. What a total mess - really feel for the fans.

Absolutely totally agree HRG. I have visited the Bulls Forum site a few times and although I don't haven't closely followed what's going on, it is a travesty what is happening to a friendly and previously well run club. I feel so sorry for the fans - here's hoping one of them has a big win on the Lottery !! :-/

I believe Macclesfield have a few issues as well, but Salisbury seem to be in a worse state. Trip to Dartford on the cards perhaps!

Looks like Salisbury could go too, have to pay creditors by 5pm tomorrow.

Daniel Leadbitter is naturally unhappy. His tweet is amongst these listed here. He apparently played for free with a broken leg. Maybe an improvement on his Plainmoor outings!!!

Upon reflection it's a sad day for football. Traditional club that has sadly gone bust. Will always remember ronny radford scoring that FA cup goal against Newcastle and the fans in Parker coats evading the pitch. Lessons must be leant as this as stated could be us. Been on chesters fans forum, and full respect to them no one is bragging about being reinstated, they are gutted for Hereford as they know it was once them!

Shame, always liked Hereford as a club (first game I ever saw at Plainmoor) and as a similar size to us, the perils are there for us to see. Potentially this is a legacy of them over-extending themselves to get into L1?

But on the other hand, pleased for Chester. Used to love there, went to the Deva stadium a few times in their conference winning year and positive that a re-started club can get to the Conf so quickly after reforming.

Chester away. Great news. Imagine the cuts Chester have made from relegation and they now find themselves still in premier
