After his performance against Bristol Rovers, he's in the Football League Team of the Week:

Shak really wasn't on for long enough to have a real impact; liked what I saw of his attitude, & got into better potential scoring positions than our regular players. If he'd turned up even three games before now, I might have mustered a bit of excitement. Right now, having just got back from Southend (delayed leaving because Breedy was waiting to interview CH & he wouldn't come out ..considering the miles Breedy's put in this week following the team, I felt that was unfair),I think it's ' probably' too late. :'(

And as with any striker, he'll need service. That may be a problem. Will try and rearrange work tomorrow to get to Southend now.

We have to go for it. I'd go 3-1-4-2 to start, with an outfield as follows:-

.......O'Connor Pearce Downes.......
................Lathrope...............
.....Bodin Harding Craig Cameron......
...........Stockley Coulthirst.............
I'd be moderately excited to see how that team performs. And that's far more excited than I have been at any other time since September.

Nobody would come from Spurs to sit on the bench it's who plays with him that count I just hope it's Bodin. :keepie:

could be a good signing, however it's too little too late!

It's just modern day Britain Brucie. Players with exotic sounding first names and British surnames are quite amusing actually. Pablo Mills springs to mind. Anyone got any others? I know there are a good few more but can't think of them at the minute.

Goodness, only just seen we have signed this lad from Spurs. Whilst the conveyor belt of youth team forwards from Championship clubs has been a little disappointing, to say the least, I guess there are some grounds for optimism, seeing as he is from Tottenham. Yeovil have had some good forwards from Spurs on loan, in recent years and could he be the next Dean Sturridge for us.

Sadly, it is probably too late but by signing a forward and a left-back, at least Hargreaves is addressing the two weak areas.

Hargreaves latest tactic seems to be to sign players with ridiculous sounding names.

Well, **** me sideways - I'm depressed enough as it is having to sit in a hotel in (dirty ****) Leeds before attending a wedding tomorrow, but reading this site tonight has made me about ready to shoot myself.

bengull wrote:I am not going tomorrow Andy, but after my epistle last night spreading perhaps a bit too much more gloom than I intended I felt it reasonable to counteract that by trying to glean positivity from the last couple of signings. We are in a massive mess, but at least the club are trying to rectify that by getting more bodies in. At this precise moment, in isolation, that's all we can ask and they should be applauded for that.
No need to feel you need to make excuses Ben. As a Torquay fan, things are really as gloomy as you depict, there is no sugar coated magical moments that remain hidden away deep in the recesses of the season thus far. It's been pure torture.

At least the club are adding another couple of loanees to try and move forward but all they will succeed in doing IMO is stemming the tide rather than keeping our heads above the waterline. We're sunk without trace if the metaphors will stretch. Like you say though Ben, the players are now here and that's all we can ask, we must hope that they turn out to become as iconic as Bryn because that is what it will take from one of them now in order for us to stay up, a feat of unbelievable proportions.

Are you going to Brizzle then? If we win tomorrow  then i'll see if I can get down there.
