You only have to look at Forest Green, Luke Rogers and Lee Hughes up front, average crowd of about 1,100

New stand - how much?
New training ground - how much?
Big TV - how much?
Crap signings - how much?
Compensations - how much?

We are where we are due mismanagement. Poor decision making has left us with a Poor manager and team alike.

The board went to the market with a (cash) cow and brought back some beans!

It goes to the very heart of the thing. Northampton are simply buying their way out of trouble. If we had another 10 or 12 grand a week to spend on loanees, we'd have Marquis, we'd have Connell and we'd be scoring goals and picking up points. We'd never have signed these players who have turned out to be crap, because we'd have been operating in a different market.

I really do think some of you fail to realise just how much money plays a part and just how little we get by on. There are Skrill South sides paying similar money to us and Conference sides who can blow us away in the transfer market, yet we're in L2 and always have been.

f*** me, I've dropped enough hints over the years, I'd have thought one of you might have spotted it...

Matt.

Whether we sign anyone or not, in all likelihood if we do it will be some untried kid (such as the lad being mentioned) who may or may not be a success at this level. But, it really brings it home when you look at Portsmouth and what they have done in the last 24 hours in order to try and ensure they stay up, they have sacked their Manager installed Andy Awford and then signed Danny Hollands on loan from Charlton (quality signing at this level) and are now being linked with a move for the former Premiership star Jamie O'Hara!!!!

Meanwhile poor old Northampton missed out (it seems) on a deal to bring Ade Akinfenwa back, poor them I guess they will just have to get by with Emile Sinclair, Alan Connell, Roy O'Donovan and the returning John Marquis!

Well if this lads coming in as a defender, here's hoping he can kick a ball 40-50 yards in a straight line, he should fit right in, if he agrees to join with a view to playing in midfield hard lines Baily, will see a heck of a lot of the football, sadly flying right over your head and for a goal kick or throw in , at least should be able amuse your self watching Benners fall over trying to get on the end of our brand of cheap basic white label hoofball.

The HE says that we are trying to sign Baily Cargill, an 18-year old defender/left-sided midfielder from Bournemouth before the deadline!

In return Andy, I see where your coming also. One striker doesn't guarantee anything, for me it's about the ratio of chances created to goals scored, there were at least four chances plus at Cheltenham, two I can remember v Newport, and from listening to the radio perhaps a couple of decent chances created at York, even if we had stuck 50% of chances away we have five more points and unbeaten in four games.

The problem is we have two players in Stockley and Enoch who are both players I would refer to as forwards rather than out and out strikers, they are players that create chances for others and weigh in with the odd goal, our strikers are Benyon who's spend most of the last few games with his nose firmly planted in the mud, and Yeoman hasn't had a run in the side.

Yes relegation is now looking likely, but what's frustrating me, is the gap is just 6 points, yep, we're relying on others to lose, but there's enough sides above us struggling right now, we've lost the last two games and gap hasn't grown, four points from our next two games and gap could be down to, two points and everything to play for.

So appears that Stockley is a free loan judging my Matt's post, well bollocks to free loans, yes it's a risk, agree to pay the wages of a goal scorer, it might be a risk that pays huge dividends, relegation will not cost us £800,000, it will eventually cost us that and ultimately more, and that's per year, not a one off cost.
