Who do you sub in for him?

Matt.

That'd probably be my team for Saturday. I don't think there's any argument against that side in favour of Manse replacing anyone, unless we go:

Back 5
Chaps Manse Harding
Stockley Benyon Showumni

This rather seems to be too many square pegs in round holes in order to accommodate him. It gives us no options out wide (not really) and will result, particularly with the two big lads up top, in very one dimensional football, which would bypass Manse anyway.

Matt.
I don't think I would play wee Danny away at Hartlepool but otherwise I would probably play the team you have done.

Neither Stockley or Wilkinson should start or maybe even play IMO. Of the two I prefer Wilkinson but that is if someone was pointing a bow and arrow to my head. Showunmi must start or we may as well just give up. I'll go for a pie and a long walk after kick off if this turns out to be the case. Surely, surely he will start tomorrow?

Stockley was only impressive when compared with Wilkinson. Just how many shots/goals has Stockley had?
Showunmi hasn't be signed to sit on the bench surely.

I would be very disapointed if Stockley doesn't start tomorrow.
He was impressive when he came on against Burton.

Manse hasn't travelled.

Surely the team for tomorrow at Hartlepool will be the same as Tuesday with Showunmi replacing Wilkinson.
Hargreaves said he wanted the 11 to pick themselves well they did that with Tuesday's performance. So for me Mansell will be, at best, a sub (as he was at Portsmouth).

After impressing on Tuesday night, it'd be surprising to see either Lathrope or Harding make way for him, unless there are doubts over the latter's ability to start successive games after such a long absence.
i wouldnt say "suprising" - diabolical or embarrasing would be a better choice of word. if there was no fitness issue then it would pretty much show that mansell is unable to be dropped.

Probably depends on the formation. We seemed to slide from 4-4-2 into a sort of 4-1-3-2 against Burton with Lathrope dropping a bit deeper and Stevens coming inside a bit on the right side of Harding. Harding should start as I thought he looked pretty reasonable. What may have happened had he not picked up a seperated ligament is anyone guess...

..... Surely a place on the bench for him tomorrow then (to replace the injured Bodin). I would expect the same team that started on Tuesday but with Stockley (who made a real impact) instead of Wilkinson up front.

He's had one season where he's been able to get forward as he had 2 other midfielders to look after breaking up opposition play if they counterattacked.

Remember when he arrived here? He was the ball winner and Murray was supposedly the playmaker (before he was sold to Maccy of all teams)

If that a bit too distant to remember, he did exactly the same on the occasions he played alongside Greavsey and again when he played alongside Nicky Wroe.

Lathrope did indeed play well tonight. However, he mishit the ball out for a throw in twice in the first 15 minutes. By most peoples opinion on here though, that must mean he had a crap game.
Yeah - can't disagree with that Sunnyside. When I typed it I thought 'he's not really an attacking midfield player' but couldn't think how to describe him ! Ball winning tackler a la Hockley describes him much better.
